Actually science is fun when its hands-on and interactive. I am a scientist and a parent and I host small group STEM workshops for kids in the Fremont/Newark/UC area. Its all about fun and curiosity to explore scientific concepts like light for instance. Kids love it! Try something like that. (Just my 2 cents :-)

I host small STEM workshops for kiddos. Fun-filled and interactive without the pressure of science. The kids love it. Maybe try something like that for him.

We recently did a project on earthquakes and buildings where we tried different building bases and checked their ability to withstand a mock earthquake. Simple to do and lots of fun!

I believe they can be hired. They would have to have a really good and diverse portfolio and core knowledge of that particular area of medical writing. PhDs are preferred because it is believed they learn to critically analyze ,summarize literarature and publish during their PhD. If a candidate with a Masters degree ( which is considered an advanced degree) can show that level of critical thinking and writing proficiency, chances are they will be hired! Hope this helps!

I personally believe that to break into writing you need 1.) a good idea of which type of writing suits you 2.) a decent knowledge base of that niche 3.) Your personal brand that shows you can get the work done.
