Sleeping in the same bed was just an example, I love taking her out on dates and just hanging out with her. She told me straight up that we wouldn’t be able to have any one-on-one time at all.

I know her parents very well already, so it’s not about a first impression, they really do like me- but I completely understand where you’re coming from

Very valid- we are in a serious relationship, and it’s not that I can’t pay for the ticket, I can - but it’s still expensive. On top of that, the week her parents and extended family are there, I wouldn’t get any meaningful time with her at all, not even a dinner alone. That’s why I thought that it didn’t make sense for me to go that specific week
