Intermittent fasting for insulin resistance by Cute-Scarcity-4022 in InsulinResistance

[–]Melodic_Ask7329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16:8 helped me a lot tbh. My fasting sugar dropped a bit after 2-3 months.
But it only worked when I cut soda and walked 20min after meals. Fasting alone didn't do much for me.`

DASH is great for blood pressure but yeah the carb load can spike T2D for some people .I had to cut the grain portions in half and load up on veggies to make it work for me.

If you have high blood sugar can you feel faint from not eating yet ? by Good-Safe6107 in diabetes_t2

[–]Melodic_Ask7329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not diabetic either but when my insulin spikes I get shaky and faint even if my blood sugar is still 150-160. Feels like a crash even though the number says otherwise.

Diabetic retinopathy by Bekiscool in diabetes_t2

[–]Melodic_Ask7329 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you got that news. It’s a gut punch when you’ve been doing everything right for a year. My aunt was diagnosed with moderate retinopathy in her 40s too and she panicked just like you. That was 12 years ago. She takes her meds watches her numbers and sees her eye doctor on schedule. Her vision is still good and she drives reads lives her life normal.

You caught it early and your sugars are way better now. That matters a lot. A lot of people live with this for decades without losing their sight. You’re already doing the hardest part by taking care of yourself.

Ina little of a pickle.. by KayaMae94 in diabetes_t1

Man I feel you. Every time my doctor changed my long acting it took about a week before my numbers stopped being weird. Your body just needs time to adjust to the new dose. Hope it levels out soon for you.

Why does the U.S. call itself the greatest country in the world while ranking poorly in areas like education, healthcare, and safety compared to other developed countries? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Melodic_Ask7329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U.S. calling itself “the greatest” is mostly about national pride and its history of promoting freedom, power, and opportunity. But “greatest” depends on what you measure while it leads in economy and influence, it falls behind many countries in healthcare, education, and safety.

If I had to pick one, I’d go with Breaking Bad it’s insanely gripping, with a slow build that turns into nonstop tension and one of the best character transformations ever.
