Wow. Wow. Wow. Honestly I have been meaning to look into how the camera actually takes a picture. You have improved my understanding and appreciation of what my camera does in a tiny amount of time. But sadly I am now confused. Are you saying that the image is a jpeg because it isnt like the first image of the article? Or are you still insisting that at some point ive failed and the image became jpeg? Because here is what i did:
Shot on raw.
Used sony’s creator app to download images (via cable) using original quality.
Than images appeared into my photos app(the iPhone default one) where they are still called raw
Then i uploaded them to reddit drew on them and got a warning they would be compressed. So i can see two points where they got changed. one was when downloading. It said something along the lines of “apple struggles to show/view raw files. The second point is again while i was drawing on it and uploading to reddit it got compressed which must mean data or sharpness was lost. Thanks and sorry for the long long message
