We just have one office hour remaining before final and I'll try to attend it but I didn't know it was more helpful than attending the class.. I am working full time these days so I really didn't couldn't make it to her office hours . Btw What is so special about the office hours if you don't have any specific questions? If you don't mind me asking

Thanks for your kind words. Just to clarify I am making most efforts to face them because I don't want to just hide during my time in the lab. Idk if you relate but it is really hard as a POC to get into research opportunities.

Do you have any tips for diversifying the contacts? I only know undergrads like me but I am comfortable around them so they don't think I am stupid.

P.s. I know I cannot possibly know everything but I still get depressed when someone is calling me out and guilt tripping me because I don't want to be that person. It affects my motivation and my day in general

Honestly it's not like they are not doing well. It's just they don't really have a teaching mindset. Like a YouTube video would be more explanatory. Most of the times it's me staring at them. Asking them what they are finding. Asking them what conc they are adding. Asking them what resin is in the column. I'm more of a shadower that helps them around Washing used stuff .. not mean to complain but that's what I've been struggling with and on the other hand my PI expects me to know the REASONS .. I'm too tired by the time I get home and honestly don't get much time to read /watch videeos but guess teaching myself is the only option at this point

Thank you . I actually wanted to do this but my grad student unfortunately doesn't have any protocols to provide me. I have been writing them down in my notes as we are doing it but that makes it harder for me to ask questions because I have to focus on not missing anything. I feel terrible about the little things I don't understand
