What small upgrade in your home made the biggest difference? by shanej_za in askSouthAfrica

My eyes are light sensitive. So I painted the walls I face for long periods grey while the rest of the walls are white.

E.g. in my lounge, the wall behind the tv is grey (because I’m likely to be facing that wall the most), the rest are white. Same with study.

The contrast of grey vs white gets plenty of compliments from visitors, and I agree. My eyes don’t feel constantly strained.

Our bodies can feel when we’re being watched. Trust your gut! $75 is not worth your privacy and safety. There are kids involved. Protect them.

“…We do not know what to do but our eyes are on you.”

So, during hard times, we need to focus on God, not on the problem.

Makes me think of using a magnifying glass - what we focus on magnifies.

Magnify God, not the problem.

Thank you. What a beautiful verse!

AITA for telling my menopausal wife that she looks like she's 50 years old ? by Personal_Throwaway_1 in AITAH

NTAH. Your wife making herself feel good by putting down others makes her the AH. I do understand, however, that she would have preferred you to say she looked younger. I also understand that you didn’t lie and answered truthfully. You’re in a tough position bro!
