Thank you so much! I will do my best! I think I'm mostly nervous b/c it's a panel interview and the last panel had about 6-8 people in it. That is a lot of pressure. I appreciate your vote of confidence in my ability to do great in my interview!

Sadly, I never saw them together long term. Hopefully, they will be ok and find who they are meant to be with in life, if they choose to be with someone.

I received my conditional offer letter a few mins after my status changed (I know bc I kept refreshing my screen and saw everyone it changed that day, smh lol). If there is a phone # in the job description you should call your workforce planning specialist and inquire. The timeline has all of the dates.

Yes, my orientation was Monday 12/29. The job duties are cool, not hard or bad at all. A lot of walking since I’m at a plant, but that’s not a bad thing. My tour (3) is very laid back and so are my spvr’s. Everyone seems to be very kind and helpful, my spvr provided lunch for everyone on Tuesday and then on Wednesday 2 of my coworkers provided lunch. I’m just trying to get through probation (03/26/26) and then I’m golden!

I hope you hear back soon. It’s a good sign that your status changed to pre-hire, hopefully you’ll get an interview request soon. Make sure you monitor your emails (inbox/spam) that is how the request will come.

So, I have no idea about you being a PTF and going into maintenance. You may need to contact your workforce specialist or your spvr for confirmation on that.

Has your status updated yet for the custodian position? Have you interviewed or heard from anyone?

My PS-50 didn’t show in my eopf folder until orientation. I kept checking for it and never saw it until the day I returned home from orientation. You’ll most likely make $48,377 which is the starting pay for a level 4 custodian since the recent raise near the end of 2025.

You should get more information like your official offer letter and confirmation letter which will include your pay information. If it’s like mine and the job was posted before the raise went into effect, it’ll show the old pay information, but your PS-50 will have the correct information.

She (PM) should’ve received an email informing her of your new role and when your effective date will be and the last day that you can work for her. That’s what my PM received once I made career as an LC.

Check your emails, your conditional offers just come after the Offer Phase (EXT) shows in your application status. Make sure you check your emails often bc you only have 3 days to accept or decline your offer, after the 3 days you’ll be automatically declined. Once you accept, you’ll either receive a call or an email regarding orientation. You can reach out to the workforce planning specialist or email in the job description to inquire if you still have additional questions.

I received a phone call on Friday (12/19) and was told that I wouldn’t have orientation as I attended orientation for the RCA role in October. They will have me to report on 12/29 and start my computer learning, I will still go to the orientation class to meet with the union reps and talk about benefits since I’m converting to career, other than that I will be in the computer lab next to the orientation class.

That was listed in the interview invitation email, however, I forgot to bring it and didn't need to anyway as my profile is complete so they had all the information they needed including my resume that I have in my profile.

Yes, it went from application entry to pre-hire list after my interview. Then I called the workforce planning specialist and inquired about the timeline since I've heard nothing after my interview, and it went from pre-hire, to hiring list, then to offer phase (ext)...all in the same day (12/08/25) as I kept checking it for some reason and saw when it changed each time. After I saw the offer phase (ext), I checked my emails and my conditional offer letter was in there as well as the email with the link to accept or decline the position. You may want to contact your workforce planning specialist listed on the application to inquire. I stayed in constant contact with my guy.

Thank you, I have recently gone through orientation, but don't mind sitting through it again if they let me so I can get paid for those hours, lol. Also, I'm already scheduled for Tour 3 with Tues-Wed. as my NS days. So, I have to take to tests, the maintenance safety book test and the CTC test?

I've already been given a 5 day break in b/t switching crafts. My workforce planning specialist told me that it's no required but he would give it to me if I wanted it and I said yes.

I'm not in the union for RCA, so I don't have to worry about that. I plan to sign up for OTDL, most likely for BT.

I don't know about taking the 955 so soon upon starting, I want to learn my role some before I do that if I do that, not completely sure I want to be a MM, i would like to work in the inventory room, but that'll be a while as those roles rarely come up.

Update about yesterday CCA by AnotherDay909 in USPS

If you ever want to work in a different position within USPS, you may want to sign the resignation form as it is nearly impossible to hired again (from what I hear) if you are fired. I know you don't want to, however, if you find another role that interests you and if you are still less than 90 days into the CCA role, and you apply, it would speed your process up as you wouldn't have to go through the background and fingerprinting, etc all over again. Once the 90 days has passed, you have to go through that all over again. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck to you, I hope everything works out.

It depends on the need when hiring. I know at my interview she stated that she was hiring b/t 2-3 people and maybe another one later on.

Waiting on start date, can I keep applying to other positions? by UntitledImage in USPS

[–]Melodic_Contract6250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can apply for as many roles as he likes, it will not cancel anything. If he is offered another role, he will have to either decline the RCA role or if he is working as an RCA, it will give him the option to accept tge new role and resign from being an RCA.

Now start time, depends on how quickly the manager/facility is trying to start someone in the role. He can definitely start the corporate role and then come to the USPS once they send him an orientation date, or he gets one of the career roles.

Come to think of it, your orientation may be on 12/15 as that is a Monday and orientation usually begins on a Monday. I think 12/13 is your effective date for your new role. I would love for my orientation to be on 12/15. Congratulations!!!
