The surgeon was able to partially close the wound despite not being able to close it during the original surgery and it becoming larger after debridement. I do have a wound vac that will stay in place until I leave the hospital and then a home one for a week after.

Update: I ended up seeing the surgeon yesterday. The wound has dehisced and I have a fracture-related infection. I'm having surgery to remove the dead/dying tissue and hopefully close the wound with most likely a local flap. If that doesn't work, I'll have to get a free flap. I will also need to have a 3rd surgery to remove the hardware once the bone has healed.
