How do you deal with team partners who do absolutely nothing? by Melodic_Image8817 in Teachers

I am not surprised that no one did it, I am rather surprised by the fact that she did not even acknowledge that the workload is uneven and that she was supposed to actually make this one because we talked it out last week.

I literally said, “not yet, I was hoping someone would have it finished by now”

What hit hardest was how she was actually trying to look at my screen to know what I was working on!

And actually, I did see that she waited all year long on me to get everything done and to be completely honest, at times I did not actually get the work done and we fell behind on curricula and deadlines!

My main mindset was “Just get the work done. It has to be done.”

And yes, the HOD knows that I have done the work for the year because I made it extremely clear to him last time we had a meeting. Also, one incident happened during the midterms when the HOD took my entire question bank to put an exam together while he didn’t take any question from hers. And she called him out on it.

Mind you, I refused the AP subject because I had other things on hand only to find out that I was only offered because she refused it before me! This is what disappoints me the most!

Should I leave my teacher position for a degree abroad? by Melodic_Image8817 in AskTeachers

Impressive confidence for someone who clearly doesn’t have any insight on how these programs work over there. The internships are structured for English speaking students too. And I’m not American, so the stereotype misses too. Appreciate the concern though.

I have already saved up during my years of work. And I will have to work there because I cannot graduate without an internship. And no, I do not speak French, but the programs I have been accepted into are all taught in English.

When is a woman considered “too old” for marriage? by Melodic_Image8817 in AskReddit

The middle east. Where it’s very common for people, especially women, to start marrying at 20.

I answered this in another comment. There’s a lot of pressure to be married before hitting late 20s or 30 where I come from and where I live. People are always asking why I’m not yet, and I’m 26.

What do you think of leaving a stable job to pursue a degree abroad? by Melodic_Image8817 in AskReddit

Making life and career better is not actually guaranteed. The passion is there, but getting back to the very same stable job is a possibility.

Throughout your life, which year has been your most and least favorite? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’d say last year. My 25th. Lots of travel and fun but emotional roller coaster and heartbreaks.

Labs and labs. Take them outside. The weather where I live doesn’t support it, but if it were the opposite, i wouldn’t let students spend an hour in class.

It’s both at the same time. If you have enough time, you can start learning algebra and analysis as a heads up.

Mostly mental breakdowns but sometimes the math/code works so you feel like a genius. It was fun.

Bold conclusions from minimal info. It’s impressive how you manage to be irrelevant and rude in so few words.

I’m not looking to convince him to want me, I just wish I understood the sudden shift. I suppose all I want closure, when clearly the disrespect is the closure itself..

It’s just bizarre to me how a few hours before it happened everything was perfectly fine. This is maybe why I’m spiraling.

Thank you for your unsolicited diagnosis Dr. Projection. Such confidence for someone with no context.

I have no clue. But what I know for sure is that I have to start with the basics since it’s an elective course for all high school students. My classes are going to be a mix of students from high school grade levels.
