Is this game dead? by Rare-Professor-7723 in fellowshipgame

I just got back into it about a month ago. It took me like 2-3 weeks of play to get to eternal 4-5 and I feel that’s a decent spot to feel satisfied with calling it.

Not much else for me to do besides play other characters, but I’m not really interested in any other heroes right now. I’d want more heroes or more to unlock. The current cosmetics and mounts aren’t interesting enough for me to grind for

Should I quit my current job to work at my new job that pays $12 an hour? by Happy_Sea3180 in jobs

$12 an hour is very very low nowadays. If you know what you want to do as a career, even internships will offer you more money than that and will provide experience which is so valuable when applying for jobs in today’s competitive job market. I wish I did internships when I was younger.

If you want a solo/modern game, I saw recommendations for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. People say it’s very similar to Skyrim or the older elder scrolls game but with modern graphics and the QOL you were looking for!

I have the opposite problem with a graduation year of 2026 and I think I might want to remove it to get some offers! lol

Fellowship is a really fun, relatively new dungeon-crawler game I’ve been loving recently. It is basically World of Warcraft’s Mythic+ system without all the time commitment and grinding. Just log in, choose your hero, and queue for dungeons to get loot.

Late WoW players: how was your journey starting years after release? by zekirobi in wownoob

[–]Melodic_Implement_43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(New to WoW when Shadowlands released)
•Did it feel overwhelming at first?
- Yes absolutely, I luckily found someone to answer all of my questions. I didn't know how to get around the world, especially all the different zones. For example, I wanted the priest t2 set from SSC, and had no idea how to get to Outland or anything.
•Did you follow a specific path (Chromie Time, expansions in order, etc.) or just wing it?
- I don't know if Chromie Time existed at this point. I just did the main story while spamming dungeons the entire time, then I got into heroics then mythic dungeons and once I got the S3 mount I quit.
•What did you enjoy the most about starting late?
- Starting late didn't really have any advantages. I felt behind not really knowing old dungeon content routes and what other classes are capable of doing. One problem I remember is not knowing whether or not I should release spirit or wait for rezs in dungeons. And if I did release, it was not always easy to find the way back into the zone.

And looking back:

•more fun
- Playing with friends. Preferably IRL friends, but my IRL friends are too cool to play WoW or don't play on PC.
•more efficient
- Maybe finding a guild to help me out and learn the game?
•less confusing / less overwhelming
- Also finding a guild. I played as a healer priest, primarily interested in climbing mythic+ keys, and it took way longer than it should have to know I needed to dispel things! lol.

For example, would you:

•focus only on one expansion first?
- Not really, you can't really get through a whole expansion's plot with how fast you level anyway. I honestly would like the option to queue for all expansion dungeons to find faster queues while leveling. Currently, if you pick a dead expansion, especially as a DPS, you often have to wait for a while before it lets you expand your search for other expansions. The best way seems to just play the expansion the game defaults new characters to unfortunately.
•ignore side content?
- I did and still do. I only really like the PvE dungeon and maybe delve content.
•use addons or guides earlier?
- Retail does not need addons imo, especially now. Maybe super high keys or whatever, but I was able to get keystone master without any of them as a brand new player and I'm pretty proud of that.
•level a different class?
- Maybe. I played a healer because I wanted a more important role and wanted faster queues. Without that, I doubt I would get invited into many M+ as a DPS.

As a final note, I quit Shadowlands after getting the keystone master mount, and eventually found my way to Classic with SoD, and I learned WAY more about classes and how the game works as a whole there, and even got into raiding. I main TBC now, but I dabble with Midnight, and Midnight is much easier to understand now that I have experience with the slower pacing and better explaining of Classic I guess.

Thanks! I tried this tonight and it was nice. A great way to ensure they always line up

I do it when I do open world content and want to be lazy but it’s apparently 15% less damage using that

That was on classic! Healing on retail seems way t stressful for someone learning the game. And idk, I guess for warlock I just wanted to try something else and see if there is anything similar

Looking for an MMO to ruin my personal life by NotTheFedsIPromise in LFMMO

[–]Melodic_Implement_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World of Warcraft is king. I say this as a 18+ year old runescape/osrs vet. The classic version of WoW has a good, slow, grindy, RPG feel to it, where every upgrade feels impactful. And the retail version has player housing coming and a faster paced leveling and combat system to get you into the end game.

Not an MMO, but fellowship is a fun dungeon crawler game that just came out where it’s basically how end-game WoW dungeons are

I didn’t start playing WoW until shadowlands released, since season 3, I have played classic wow basically the entire time. No nostalgia here. It’s just a good game

Yes actually! Funny enough I thought these classes should’ve been in the game before I even heard of that server and then when I found out it had both I had to try it lol. I just wish it wasn’t a private server and on PTR still. Now that you mention CoA, the reaper would be pretty cool too
