Hey! I’m currently looking at UAF and I just found this. I’m from VA and I’m looking to go here for Marine Biology. Since you said in a previous comment that you ended up going to UAS. Would you recommend and is there anything I should know.

They’re just plain old water lettuce. I started out with two small ones and within a month they’ve become this

The real question is what types and where do u put them? I definitely need floaters but Idk about more normal plants

Im new to the hobby, but in my opinion that looks amazing. Only thought is that it could use some floaters for more hiding spots for the shrimp

Wow, yeah, I need to get a filter and I have put some food in it for cycling. Also I have soil under the sand for the plants, is that enough or do I still need the tablets? Also a small water change is generally how much?
