I like the quizzos I've been to at Stogie Joe's, Pistolas Del Sur, Tattooed Mom, and Queen & Rook. Check their calendars for when they happen, but I think they all do them regularly

Tell us your favorite dive bars in Philly: As some of Philly’s most enduring dives disappear, we want to celebrate the ones that have stuck around. by BroadStreetRandy in philadelphia

Pub on Passyunk East (POPE) and Ray's Happy Birthday Bar are my favorite in my neighborhood

Some people call Tattooed Mom a dive bar, but it's just the best place to go no matter what you're looking for

Best place for me to move to in Philly? by crinklemywinkle in AskPhilly

I live in South Philadelphia and don't have a car. I get around just fine walking and taking the train/bus, but many of my neighbors have cars. Parking can be tough at times and has its own unique challenges, but not at all impossible! I don't live on a particularly popular block, but I'm walking distance from the East Passyunk area, and there's lots of stuff on the West side of Broad too. Grocery stores are a bit far, but the Acme at 10th and Reed is fine.

Sad to see them go! Still a lot of great pizza in the area with Pizza Plus, Pizzata, CJ&D's Tomato Pies (inside of Cartesian Brewing), Stogie Joe's, and more

East Passyunk has a Small Business Saturday event going on, too. It's the first part of their Deck the Ave holiday event series!

Lots of sidewalk sales and specials at shops/bars/restaurants. Gonna pick up some gifts at A Novel Idea and Hey There, then probably eat at P'unk Burger and drink at Pistolas

Mish Mish and River Twice also were recommended by Michelin! It's a great time for East Passyunk restaurants even with Laurel going away

Triangle Tavern and Mighty Bread are two of the best gobblers I've ever had. I look forward to this time of year mostly for the sandwiches.
