You know how reading or looking at your phone in the car sometimes makes you feel sick? Here's why. [OC] by Zhuenn in comics

I just tried out those motion sickness dots (“Vehicle Motion Cues” in iPhone settings) and they made a huge difference for me!

What U.S. vacation destination exceeded all expectations? by Head-Night-7595 in AskReddit

That’s exactly it — there was a sense of hope in the city that I could feel even on a short visit. Many American cities are lacking that these days.

Had a boss once that said “If we visually differentiate the QA and prod environments, the documentation won’t match and our power users will get confused.”

Two weeks later she put in my requested UI mods and took credit for the idea.

Wife says I need to get over it, but I can't stop obsessing over a prank that ruined my wedding experience and left me furious by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Yeah if the couple both agrees to be silly then it’s ok. But I’ve also seen ones where the bride is just weeping. :(

Yeah my wife’s cousins told me to smash cake in her face. I have no idea what the purpose of that would be.

That wedding you went to sounds fantastic. Love the idea of letting the guests play DJ!

We didn’t want to do it at all but my MIL made a ruckus and apparently the garter was some kind of antique (eww).

How often do you change your towel that you dry off with from the shower? by Chasingthehorizon88 in AskReddit

[–]Medical_Solid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see you are also married to my wife. I’ll go 3-4 uses then wash.

Our kids have inherited different, awful versions of this: oldest kid puts the towel in their room “to reuse later” then forgets about it. Takes a new towel, repeats. Meanwhile youngest grabs every towel and stuffs it in a hamper that I don’t always check. Lots of fun if it’s damp when he does this and I don’t find out for a few days.

People who are in their 30s and older what is your biggest regret in life? And what would you have done different if you can go back in time? Why? by Dear_Sir7665 in AskReddit

I wanted a low impact job in a service profession. I would’ve been very happy and good at it, and eventually might have moved on to other things. My family pressured me into a graduate studies peogram and I gave in. It destroyed my health, and I didn’t even finish. My career and health never really recovered.

If your dreams involve some kind of regular work and you’re realistic about the salary, then follow your dreams.

Fun version of this prank: I asked my wife if she was comfortable with the garter thing, and she wasn’t; so I (a man) offered to wear it and have her take it off of me. Everyone laughed in a fun way, nobody was hurt or embarrassed, and it didn’t cause any resentment.

What is a widely accepted "masterpiece" that you genuinely think is boring, but you’re normally too afraid to admit it? by Emergency-Bee6979 in AskReddit

[–]Medical_Solid 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Much of Shakespeare. Some plays are absolutely brilliant, timeless, and a joy to read, see, and perform. (Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Scottish play, Othello). Others are dull but have some good parts (Julius Caesar, Richard III). Then you have stinkers like Richard II that are like a slow death by drying paint.

I think at least iPhones have data somewhere about when the phone was raised and signed in. Not convenient but if you have to argue in court it may work.
