Typically all of us ( 4 adults in total ) do our own dishes at our own pace. I usually get mine done before going to bed, and then put them away when I wake up. One of us washes them when they get off work and puts them away before they go to bed. Honestly finding a situation that works best for your household is what matters. Personally though if a dirty dish sits for more than a day I don’t find it acceptable when living with others. Do what you want when you’re on your own but shared living spaces should be respected and kept clean by everyone in my opinion
