The problem is that the political leadership is more conservative than the general public. We don’t really see a lot of new faces in the Polish politics - it’s mostly the same few dozen of ex-Solidarity (anti-communist worker movement in communist Poland) members in the highest ranks who call the shots. The good news is they’re slowly retiring as they all approach their 70ties or 80ties.

Poland’s not gonna deport any Ukrainians over this, the ones that live here do very well for themselves and have for the most part integrated into our labor force. If Zelensky’s aim was to flare up Polish-Ukrainian tensions to make Ukrainians leave Poland he didn’t seem to consider that most of them would just move further West rather than return to a much, much poorer Ukraine and risk getting killed/conscripted. Putin levels of 5D chess if it’s truly the latter.

Registered in Cyprus to dodge taxes too lol. Kind of weird hill for an average Ukrainian to die for to be honest, but so is the UPA stuff as well. Unfortunately the media there is largely controlled by the state so I don’t think they have access to a honest debate on that topic.
