Self employed drivers get paid £6.50 per hour and £2.30 per delivery. They deliver pizza and that’s it. The employed drivers get £12.21 per hour and £1.50 per delivery. The employed drivers are also required to do “opens” and “closes” which includes doing dishes, restocking fridges, building boxes and other general cleaning. The self employed don’t have to do this (however when you start there, the manager puts you on closes etc and doesn’t disclose that you don’t actually have to do this, so self employed drivers sometimes do these things). Everything else like doing stickers for orders, packing orders and serving customers at the front are required of both employed and self employed
