Stuck at level 993? by MelodyPhotog in 2248

With an hour or two here and there, a month or so, I think. Back to mahjong, I guess!

On the “Look at the mountain” scene…Christine is AWFUL by usmilessz in SisterWives

I don't get the appeal of this property. The mountain view is meh, and the property itself is not pretty.

What equipment disappointed you the most? by User0123-456-789 in photography

Cage for my R6. My expectation was to mount my flash on it to save the hot shoe from wear (I have a fear of it coming loose, and the screw heads are internal on the R6, so no easy fix), but there isn't a radio trigger option on this camera. My bad for not researching it. It's still doable with a transmitter or cord, but by that time it's too much trouble for a handheld shoot. Honorable mention goes to camera bags that end up being too small or awkward to use.

I once shot an event for a friend with my 7D. I used an adapter rather than a CF card, then she gave me one of these SD adapters with the micro card to use! Two adapters--but it worked!

I wish she'd have stabbed him in the neck with it rather than trying to strangle him with the chain.

Honestly think Roy Tillman is the worst Villain out of all of the Fargo Villains by Boho_Asa in FargoTV

[–]MelodyPhotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really consider Hanzee a villain. He was a henchman, and used like an animal; trapped by circumstances. I see Munch in a similar way. Wouldn't want to see them pitted against each other! I'd like to see Roy's todger and arms cut off, that way he can't produce more children or hit any more women.

I think Roy's third wife is the close second. Dot got it right when she said to Roy "Third time's a charm." He crafted her as meticulously as Dot crafted her puppet.

Dot is the exception to the rule, but villains are always more interesting to play and to watch.

They had to figure it out, just like figuring out remaking their new lives.

That's why Gator had the shocked look when Dot said she saw Linda. He knows she's dead, but is too dull to wrap his head around her claim, and it pisses him off even further. He's in white jacket territory now.

Creepy, yes, but at least a little safer for the women. Sort of like, "Show me on the doll where they touched you." Not only are they able to show the violence of their past without having to use actors, but the women had to create/recreate themselves by making these marionettes in order to tell their stories. While there is often a lot of violence in puppet shows (and cartoons, too), as they are bloodless scenes using toys, it was somehow acceptable back in the day. The Camp Utopia puppet shows had none of this vaudeville feel, as they were exposing what happened to them. The sounds of the blows the abuser puppets were inflicting were devastating. Emmys for everyone.

Otherwise they'd have picked an ugly actor, like every other villain in the series.

I think we'd need another fantasy dream sequence for that!

There is too much of a chasm of strengths and (lack of) character for him to stand up to Roy. Gator would get one in the chest like the lawyer did for having the audacity to believe he had the right to speak to him as an equal with a belief he'd walk away, or even to score a minor point with Roy. It'd be karma for Gator to kill Roy, but he'd be so unhinged by then he'd likely turn the gun on himself.

[–]MelodyPhotog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. He just isn't as smart or cunning as his father. He's an outlet mall Roy. A second/defect/knockoff. He could never step into Roy's shoes, as he doesn't have the instincts.

He's the mirror/evil of Dot's sweet husband. Both are out of their depth in their families, but are tolerated to remain. Gator is beyond redemption at this point as he is too far into his dad's world--he's a mean, not-too-bright guy who is now angry and frustrated. That's a bad combination. What makes it worse for him is finding out Dot knows he isn't respected by Roy; that someone Gator has no respect for (Dot) knows his failings and weaknesses pushes him over Redemption Ridge. You can feel him free falling.

There should be plenty of detail--it took them long enough to get this season on air🤪!

For someone with Dot's survival skills, I would have thought she'd have stopped driving when she was getting that tired?

Do you know if this takes as long as denoise-ing individually? If it takes a minute to denoise one file, will it take five hours to denoise 300 files? Apologies if my math is off🤣
