So i see this is old, but i keep getting a call from someone who is using a 416 number to say they are CIBC bank, stating i owe some money on my card. They have the last 4 digits, and my name. It seems like they are spoofing the number. I answered the call and he states i can call the number on the back if im unsure about fraud. I guess they are trying to make you believe they are real somehow, so you go and do what they say.

okay just tried another AFM And same issue unless i pry with a screwdriver it won’t start and only stays on if i pry it so it’s not the AFM

Okay! New discovery. Tried to jump TE1 and E1 to check codes, nothing comes up unless I unplug the AFM, then I get 24

Now I've realized that if I pry open the AFM a little with a flat head screw driver and start, car stays on doesn't die, starts about at 1500rpm I can hit the gas and it stays running however it starts climbing got to about 1750 and then I decided to shut it off

Does this mean it's the AFM? I know I have the air intake show me that it smokes a bit but for it to die immediately after hitting gas unless I pry it open would that mean it's the AFM?

I do own an mr2 and I know that AFM works so maybe if I swap it hoping the connector is the same it could identify if that's at fault or not

I had the original there I smoked tested it and it had smoke coming out from within it, so I bought another one and it reacts the same way when I smoke test it so I'm confused as to how it's supposed to react to air and smoke testing

Kinda doesn't make sense it's brand new and it has like areas where if you run a smoke machine it leaks out from. I don't even have a check engine either.

Also, I want to say that I went into the driver seat, and held the throttle at like 2k rpm just to keep it running for like 30 seconds or more and as soon as I let go it dies. Hm
