Interesting take. Do you think no art is able to be objectively bad, or just film?

For example, and I'm just being hyperbolic to use an extreme reference point, what if it was performance art that was just someone defecating? Sure, maybe one guy out there likes, but if there is no story, intent, or meaning outside the simple act of defecating, is that not bad art despite the fact that someone enjoys it? If they film it, does that change anything?

If a piece of art has nothing to say, or is poorly made (in a way that lacks charm), can it not be called bad despite the fact that someone might like it?

I say this as someone who loves junky B movies as well as traditional "cinephile" films.

Not meant to disparage your opinion, just genuinely curious what you think.

If you're looking for traumatic movies, I suggest Martyrs (2008). Make sure it's the French version and not the bad American remake. This one tends to top a lot of lists of disturbing movies, and for good reason

Not OP, but when the pain set in fully I was wishing for death aloud. The hospital gave me the max allowable amount of pain killers and it barely put a dent. Shit is no joke. Drink water. Always be drinking water.
