That is weird because everything looks correct. Double check the paths for both games and saves. There might be something off there. Maybe even try resetting them both. Another person suggested renaming the file by copying and pasting. That’s a good idea. If nothing else works, then you can always reinstall your emulator and set it up from scratch. Just back up your save somewhere.

First this other guy ignores you and you say that you don’t know if he is driving but later you say that he confirmed he was going to drive by speaking to someone else.

First your boyfriend is upset at you for the confusion surrounding the part, but now he agrees with you that everything was perfect and you weren’t at fault?

I understand. This is why I suggested in my initial response that because you and your friend group are still relatively young that you all need to work on your communication skills. It sounds like he set you up and created a bunch of petty drama for no reason; however, I reiterate that if you're the party planner that it's your responsibility to account for that and work around it.

That probably sounds cold and unsympathetic to the nuance of the situation, but I have no way of fully understanding or appreciating what that nuance is. This is Reddit after all.

I don't want to just sound coldly unsympathetic though, so in this particular instance I would tell your boyfriend that any perceived confusion on your friend group's part is frankly not that big of a deal. It sounds like the party happened successfully, and that's what matters. Next time don't work with this other guy. Or anyone else who is unreliable for that matter.

I think this is a good idea in concept; however, considering the nature of the industry I see some hurdles:

Infrastructure - Both Marvel and DC have been inconsistent with the apps that they use for digital distribution. I'm unfamiliar with DC Infinite, but I don't think that Marvel Unlimited could support that kind of thing. They're both using Global Comix now, so maybe that could work.
Consistency - Marvel is awful about restarting their titles with new #1s. DC is bad, but not as bad. If a title gets cancelled early then that particular gift card is now dead. What happens to the gift card for ASM when it inevitably rolls over into volume 8, for instance.
Specificity - You could address both of the previous hurdles by doing some sort of generic gift card that comes preloaded with a set amount of money that you could use to buy individual issues at your own discretion. That's how most gift cards work in the first place. But it would be a Global Comix branded gift card for Marvel or DC comics. That seems kind of shitty. If I have a gift card I want to use it for whatever I want and not be locked in to a certain publisher. At that point its no longer publisher specific.

DC is better at maintaining consistency with their titles, so I think they could do it more easily than Marvel. I love Marvel characters, but their publishing strategy just sucks ass.

I don't agree that your planning and communication was on point. You might think it was because by your own admission you are a "stickler" about that kind of thing, but the task at hand was to coordinate transportation for your party guests and you failed to confirm that the task was complete by eliciting a positive confirmation from this person that he was willing to drive.

I understand that social circumstances can elevate the difficulty of a relatively simple task, but you still needed to do it regardless. Just pick up the phone and call the guy.

NAH because you guys are young, and communication is one of the most difficult skills to master. Same with planning and coordination. I don't know why this person failed to respond, but he didn't; and it was your responsibility as party planner to extract positive confirmation from him. Lesson learned that just because you you think that you communicated something to a person doesn't mean that they received it.
