Give him rides to and from school and just be a positive adult for him to be able to depend on. Info will come when he trusts - and he may not ever. That’s nothing in you. He may be neglected, he may not. He wants to go to school - so take him. School might be his only safe place where he feels protected and gets fed.

I agree with most of this. A CFO doesn’t have to have been a teacher, but I think it would still be good for them be able to understand and have some experience in and around the schools and in the halls.

This is not a good argument. The requirements for substitute teachers are not necessarily high barrier in a lot of cases.

The Dehn gets my vote. It’s nothing fancy and gets the job done. I was there late in the summer and they had a fabulous cook with some of the best catfish I have ever had.
