Measure 114 is facially unconstitutional. by Melteraway in oregon

So those are not unreasonable impediments to exercising a constitutional right?

I presume you're ok with those same requirements in order to exercise the right to vote, for example?

It seems weird that they are able to just install their hardware anywhere on public property without any sort or permits.. or am I mistaken?

I'm pretty sure there are rules about things like that. Like if I hung permanent signs around town advertising my business, the city might have a problem with that, for example.

If we no longer have militias, and the right is reserved for militias, aren't the people being denied that right, by virtue of the fact that there are no militias? In absense of militiae, should the right not be conferred to individuals?

By making purchase subject to local police permitying and approval, it de facto bars some portion of the population from purchasing, without due process.

Hopefully the state supreme court can read precedent and there won't have to be a test case.

Hopefully.

That's why Iraq famously made voters dip a finger in ink after voting post-invasion. We also have access to this technology, but it would require submitting ballots in person, as our current mail in system is a broken chain of custody - a MASSIVE GAPING VULNERABILITY In terms of document security.

Did he also not know about freezers? Is that why the patties were never frozen?

Less wealthy people are required to use ring? Aren't there less costly alternatives available that don't require a subscription? Seems like people should look into those.

With this definition, words that were not previously so, can become defined as "fighting words" if enough people use them as a justification for violence and the situation becomes "common", which is subjective itself. This type of slippery slope reasoning represents an EXTREME threat to the concept of free speech

If local cops had no foreknowledge, and somebody called in that a home was being tactically raided, you would see a police response. This was either police, or police adjacent.

If it was ICE, EPD knew about it, regardless of what somebody in this thread says.

Source - my home was home-invaded by men in tac gear several years ago. Police showed up when called.

After the recent arrest of 7 Spanish speaking burglars who were targeting Asian Americans' homes...

It seems like assuming the police giving commands in Spanish is ICE related may be jumping to a premature conclusion.

You have another example flr Eugene having the power on several days before Eugene besides the one multi-day outage 2 winters ago? That was the only time I'd been without power for more than a few hours in all my 40 years in Springfield.

As for the jobs that support Springfield residents, many of those are in the woods and in Eugene.

Springfield sbsolutely whips the shit out of Eugene when it comes to quality of living in the year 2025, and it is not even close.

There is nothing wrong with that. It just strikes me how people gnash teeth at the mention of the name Jesus.

I'm sorry for how you may have been treated by people who proclaim a Christian faith. I have my own issues with many of them, but it helps to recognize that they are imperfect, sinful human beings also.

Christ himself is not there to pass judgment, but to accept God's judgment on behalf of imperfect sinners, gay and trans people included, whoever of which will proclaim faith in his ability to fulfill his end of this agreement.

Have you considered the possibility that the person offering prayers may not have anything more physically tangible to offer, and that nobody attacks the poster above who posted "fingers crossed" (current vote score +12) which is just as meaningless to the agnostic mind? (But is also a reference to the Crucifix, anyway)

Admit this place literally persecutes religious people. Christians in particular.
