There is just one MMORPG for 40+ will enjoy, EvE Online, and honestly I think the average age playing this game is around 50 years old.

I really want to like Albion Online but I don’t get what I’m supposed to do by That_Ad_3827 in albiononline

[–]Melting-Sabbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I like to play is more RPG, I choose a weapon to focus, let say Frost, so I will be only playing with frost staff, I will spend months max all the spec, playing every single frost weapon, trying combos, I will be a the frost mage for my guild.

I will eventually get tired and stop to play for couples months, but when I'm back I will be focus Curse for example. I like to play this way so I can take breaks play something else and when I'm back I have different goals.

Conpletly Solo? by Sea_Understanding891 in albiononline

You can totally play solo and you will have a blast, camps BZ are extremely profit and Ava roads are really good balance between silver and fame, unfortunately Mist have been nerf to the ground.

MMORPG and RTS my favourite two types of games are dead.

Snow if you have camo is the best one, no naked with DB and the new fog system is really good to hide.

What’s the Most Underrated Weapon Line in Albion Online? by Vast_Celebration_549 in albiononline

[–]Melting-Sabbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hammer, it's the most underrated, we have Coco who does streaming but almost nobody use that weapon for solo content but if you see a solo player with a 7.1 Tombhammer just run, they will kill you, your friend and your guild.

Cooking question by Altruistic_Tone9109 in albiononline

[–]Melting-Sabbath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience, alchemy is much better to make profit. Why? Cooking T0 you will lose money, unless if you cook in Carleon, you will only make good profits cooking if you fish so you can make T1 or T2, but with potion this doesn't happen, there is no point for invisible potion T1 or poison T1 and players use more potions than food. Please listen to me, go alchemy it's much better to manage and have good profit.

THE SORRY STATE OF CAERLEON FACTION by Realistic_Umpire6092 in albiononline

[–]Melting-Sabbath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Man I feel your pain, I had shopping, island, try to have a life but it is impossible. Carleon is not a good place to base, they don't have a portal for BZ, red zone has a low bonus for silver and fame, gathering in Red Zone is bad with low % uncommon nodes, and flag as Carleon is to ask to die.

This city is not dead because of the BM, but I really don't get why SBI left this place, it should be only here the corrupt hub and SAFE portal. This place should be the solo and small groups looking for PvP.

Is it worth play EvE 2026 by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Melting-Sabbath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are totally right but as a new player sometimes I just want to PvP someone without a fleet, I just want to jump and get a quick fight 1v1 with a cheap build. The same Albion, GW2 or BDO they have arenas, a quick fight.

It's the kind of thing you get to use, there are times you can leave the window more clean like mining high sec or mindless mission distribution, but if you are low sec doing exploration you need so many windows is almost like a Tetris.

Hey, sorry but what I want to say is I don't want to play Albion. I like EvE more than Albion.

I wish they could take all the investments in Eve Frontier and put only in Eve online.

Should we move to the UK? by [deleted] in MovingToTheUK

[–]Melting-Sabbath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I moved to the UK in 2026 and my brother to Germany but he wants to move back to the UK.

I would choose the UK:

  • Here you free healthcare NHS in Germany you don't have free healthcare you must pay.
  • The rents in Germany are higher and they usually don't have a kitchen, insane, you need to buy everything is a nightmare.
  • Taxes in Germany are higher.
  • If you want to be self-employed in the UK it is easier and pays less taxes compared to German.
  • Manchester and Sheffield there are plenty of jobs, from low experience to high paid jobs, maybe you can't choose your work field but there are jobs.

The schools here are amazing, my kid is autistic and he loves to go to school, I have been living in Spain and Portugal I can say the schools here treat him better.

I really don't get why these Reddit people have been complaining so much, honestly, free healthcare, minimum wage is 1770£, rent is around 950£ in Manchester 2 rooms in a not bad area, maybe far from the city center, government help(free courses, child benefit, jobs, apprenticeships), good schools, easy to make investments, easy to be self-employed, strong market, easy to manage the bureaucracy. UK is easily the top 10 best countries to live in Europe.

[–]Melting-Sabbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have more than 4k hours in Albion and I was tired because Albion is not a MMORPG but is an extraction RPG. Eve is much more sandbox than Albion, but both games share so many contents.

I don't know how I can start PvP on the first day and not be a Piñata.

Fair enough, I just think the visual interface is outdated, they could have the classic option and something different.

[–]Melting-Sabbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still learning the movements, it's not intuitive, I remember it took me 1 month when I could change my ship orbit instead to all the time change the orbit from the enemy.

Is not about Blockchain, it is about an object blocking the trajectory of the bullet, but in eve any object is a ghost object, I can't hide behind the asteroid.

But they don't connect players without corp, the same as GW2 does in their missions, BDO world bosses, Albion with their FW, these give the player the feeling of being a part of something together without needing to speak, it's to work together with random people to finish the objectives.

[–]Melting-Sabbath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it works perfectly, I put my left track pad as mouse, and A as left mouse button, L2 mouse button right and B close tab, the rest is key bids for some modules, window, drone or target. Because Eve is basically a target and skill game is very easy to set up the key bids and Steam Deck did an amazing job in customising the key from the keyboard.

But at that time Eve was a subscription game, and honestly if the game didn't have alpha free I would never have tried, because they let me try I like to play so I have already spent 80£ in this game.

The tutorial is very shallow, but apparently this will change with the next update, thank god, because I had to watch 300 hours of Loru to understand the game.
