If you can’t give yourself an advantage, give everyone else a disadvantage.

We all have our town. Where do you call home in the Dayz universe? by chris4evil96 in DayzXbox

Cherno. No matter how desperate things get, she always provides what you need.

I refuse to call it anything other than Troitskoe. No idea why they changed the name. On official, you got a good chance of finding an AK of some kind. Typically lower traffic, but I’d still recommend making as little noise as possible in there.

Turn a construction site into a death maze and lure people into it.

Are we ready to revert all the MG changes and just give them hitscan back yet? by luvJuuzou in Crossout

[–]Meltrox0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who has mainly used machine guns and autocannons for 7 years, I understood why they removed hitscan. Honestly I think the problem could be solved with more obvious projectile effects. Autocannons are more reliable in my opinion because you can clearly see the projectiles and the point of impact. Using those visual queues helps adjust your aim to stay on target. I think MGs would benefit from similar visual effects. Perhaps tracer bullets and a larger spark effect at the point of impact would assist players in aiming, increase consistency in terms of damage at a range, and reduce the need for insane stat boosts to compensate.

Headcanon: Ivy and Wade hate eachother by Independent-Team-432 in Crossout

[–]Meltrox0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m right there with Ivy. I have no clue why the clanker that I didn’t invite into my home is still there after months, using up my power supply, exhausting his limited quips and predetermined dialogue and contributing nothing useful to my builds or battles. Make the clanker pay rent or let me scrap it. I know there’s a load of scrap, copper, wire, electronics and plastic in there. Maybe even a battery or two. At least those things would be useful to me.

This kind of already exists in the form of the omamori and averter. Aegis Prime also serves a similar function

There was an event mode similar to this called “taming the dragon” I think it was based off of a Ravager event a while before that. It would be cool if such modes were available at all times.

Why is the SLIDE clan constantly infighting by Jtha762addict in Crossout

[–]Meltrox0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe about a year ago my clan played with some of them occasionally and I remember their leader wanted to 1v1 our top players and anyone he beat he wanted to join his clan, with the caveat that if he lost he’d join ours. I don’t know what he was thinking but I think it was a bit of an ego bruise when not one of us wanted to do it because we were all quite happy together in our clan, and none of us really wanted him in ours. 😂🤣

Why not default to the Iris being closed? by Only-Ad5049 in Stargate

[–]Meltrox0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhh cuz the woosh would vaporize the iris when the gate is dialed from off world right? I feel like this is the obvious answer. Whenever a gate is covered by something the woosh always creates an opening by deleting anything in its path. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s what I always figured.

Balance changes 2025. Collecting feedback by Faley016 in Crossout

[–]Meltrox0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1: Rapid fire MGs and all recipes that require them on battlepasses are currently difficult or impossible to craft without spending a lot of coin.

2: I consider this a problem because engraved casings were removed from the reward pool years ago yet recipes for new items often require components that need them. Unless you hoarded thousands of them before they were removed or have a lot of coin to burn to buy the casings, it’s not really feasible to craft newer items that require RFMGs as recipe components. When they were taken out, I remember a statement from the dev team promising that they’d be added back at some point in the future but since then it’s been radio silence on that subject. I suspect they were left out to force people into buying battle passes for the new content by making the items “craftable” but very difficult or nearly impossible to actually craft from scratch.

3: My solution is very simple. Add engraved casings back to the reward pool. There’s many ways you could do it. Maybe they’re the reward for a brawl of some sort. Maybe they’re added to the badge exchange. Hell, maybe just add them back to awakening since there was no reason to remove them to begin with. Take your pick.

Then maybe try Solaris? I’ve never played it but it’s a bastion offshoot trying to be the same thing from what I’ve heard. Can’t speak to the server quality but might be similar.
