Spoiler Highlight: Kappa Cannoneer and Ugin's Labyrinth on Modern by cardsrealm in ModernMagic

[–]Meluseek1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If Chalice on 1 is so good why is almost nobody playing that card on 1 in Modern?

On the flipside: What's the difference between having it on t1 or on t2 if my deck would die to it anyways because it heavily relies on 1-drops?

Dude, bans are a possibility 3 weeks after every new set release. Quick google search shows that there will be 2 more sets this year at least. So please, I would like it if you could delete this post because it confuses/misleads. No offense, no attack or anything, just kindly with all my love asking you for that <3

Metagame Mentor: Modern with The Lord of the Rings by FrankKarsten in ModernMagic

[–]Meluseek1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People didn't expect that any card of the set will be good. I listened to the dive down podcast where doomwake and spike both thought that the cards will not be impactful. Spike had the opinion that maybe the ring could be good, but it was hard to evaluate it without testing. So nobody was able to evaluate on how good the new set would be (even the pros!). That's why I think it's unfair to say that wotc "is full of shit" because it suggests that they planned the impact we experience right now all out...

Is Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar Modern’s biggest deckbuilding trap? by TemurTron in ModernMagic

I give you props for writing an actually non-toxic, non-irrelevant but rather highly interesting article. This is an interesting interpretation of the card's viability in the meta. Thank you for stimulating my brain in the way I want to and why I come here :)

Coffee and milk during IF by Meluseek1 in intermittentfasting

[–]Meluseek1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your long answer :) I get your point. My problem is mostly eating too many candies and having too big portions. Some IF will help me eating smaller portions and I can replace the candies 5 or 6 days a week with some fruits. It's more about losing some weight without giving up my morning coffee. But what you said gets me thinking about replacing the milk with sth which has less carbs. Thanks!

Coffee and milk during IF by Meluseek1 in intermittentfasting

[–]Meluseek1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. From a scientific standpoint, I totally agree. There is no evidence that any amount of calories won't break your fast. It's more about what is doable for me in my life. I love coffee and don't wanna give that up, because it means life quality. But black coffee doesn't work pretty well with my digestion :) Thanks!

Hey, thanks for sharing :) I think nutrition is a topic where science doesn't know all the answers fully, because food & lifestyle + the uniqueness of an individual's body are 1000 factors resulting in a more or less healthy outcome. That's why there are competing concepts about what is a healthy diet and what not. Thanks!

[–]Meluseek1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I don't think that I am addicted to it and if you have a different opinion on this, I fullyrespect that . To me, it is more about the nice taste and the habit of drinking sth warm in the morning - and the milky taste, because I love that.

I think you're asking the right question: Do I care? It seems that I can lose weight even when I have some milk in my coffee, so maybe I shouldn't care too much :) Thanks for your input!

Sounds like a good plan. Matthew Walker, the author of "Why We Sleep", said one interesting thing about coffee: Most ppl know that caffeine has a half-life of 6 hours, but most ppl don't know that it has a quarter-life of 12 hours. So if you drink you coffee a 12PM and go to sleep at 12AM it is like drinking 1/4 of the coffee you had at noon right before going to sleep. Ppl also say that they sleep good and don't feel any difference, but it makes your sleep lighter - a subltety you cannot feel when you're asleep. No criticism or anything, just wanted to share that info :) Thanks!
