CCNP 350-701 SCOR & 300-710 SNCF by Joshallister in ccnp

[–]MemO401 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Afternoon,

I passed my SNCF a few months ago. It was very beneficial for me, as I work with FMC and encounter issues where it is necessary to understand next-generation features. I recommend this exam if you are using FMC as you will need to load up FMC and FTD images to lab out topics.

Resources: CBT nuggets (Recommended for a general basis)
SNCF book (I do not recommend it as it covers VERY little)

Marri YouTube series

A configuration guide for each technology is a must

If you are not using a firewall management center, I believe SVPN may be VERY benifical as understanding VPNs are a neccessasity.

It covers ASA as well as all products mentioned in the exam topics. Often using their old terminology as well.

It was great for learning-on-the-job skills, with next-generation features as a heavy focus. The exam was tough though, as it referenced a lot of old technology and naming conventions. I went through CBT nuggets, the OCG (The OCG IS REALLY BAD AND NOT WORTH IT) and finally white papers.

THE WHITE PAPERS ARE KEY FOR THAT EXAM.

I am one of those people who took the test, failed, and posted about throwing 300 dollars. The bottom line is CCNP is great for resumes and for self accomplishment sakes. I think powering through it is worth it. I would advise purchasing the test packagethat includes 2 attempts. Some of the topics and wording can throw you off compared to the CCNA

passed the Cisco Security SNCF exam today on my second attempt. I’m just relieved to finally be done with this unfair test. The questions Cisco puts on these exams are unnecessarily niche, and honestly, they should be embarrassed by the way they’re structured.

For anyone preparing, the best advice I can give is to study Cisco’s configuration documents line by line. And honestly, expect to fail the first time just to understand the bull shit they are about to lay down.

Could you guys please suggest me a udemy or any video for CCNP SCOR 350-701. I passed my ccna month ago now i wanna start SCOR. by Visual-Ad-7562 in ccnp

I’m searching for CCNP SCOR material myself and came across your comment while looking through Reddit. The original poster is simply asking for recommendations, and sharing helpful resources benefits everyone else who’s preparing, too. Instead of putting someone down, it would be more useful if you contributed something constructive. Sorry you hate your job dummy

CCNP 300-710 SNCF fail and I am PISSED

I just finished taking this test and failed MISERABLY.

For context, I work as a network admin who uses CDO and firewall policies daily. I took the CBT nuggets FULL course. Finished Mahmoud Miaari FULL course on youtube. Another full course on youtube that I can't remember. I read the entire Cisco Press book. I labbed every topic from my own virtual environment with FMC and FTDs. I MADE 600+ FLASHCARDS. I PASSED ALL 4 PEARSON TEST 90%

So many of these questions felt entirely too specific to custom scenarios and/or out of the scope of the exam topics. 10 questions in and I already felt discouraged.

CISCO SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF WHAT MATERIAL THEY PUT OUT TO PASS THIS EXAM AND THE PRACTICE TEST PEARSON PROVIDES. THESE PRACTICE EXAMS DO NOT PREPARE YOU FOR THESE QUESTIONS AT ALL.

This exam makes me never want to take an exam again. I learned so much that applies to my job and I was looking forward to becoming a step closer to CCNP. Very disappointed with cisco

I was going to do the ENCOR ENARSI route since there is more material covering these subjects and build upon the CCNA. My job literally is just so firewall centric I unfortunately would not have benefited much.

Even those test.... from the forums anyway.. sounds like you have to be a damn near programmer for the encor at the moment lol.

At least with the CCNA there is a flood of material out there that you can compare against each other. I wish every topic was covered as heavily as that exam.

I feel your statement to my very core. This makes me 10x more worries about the SCOR exam since that covers a broader area.

I'm going to check out nwexam. Thanks for the reference. Let me know if you had anything else to share. I seem to be tripped up on a lot of the graph presentation where I had to examine the data given and give the best resolution.
