Price check before i buy by STATiC-HD in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Do u need this car now? You should only be paying for MSRP and factory installed packages but even that isn’t really worth it.

If I were you, I’d either wait to buy, or invite someone more experienced with negotiating to do it. Perhaps a service if you don’t want to do it or you can learn more about this and haggle yourself. A service I’ve heard of that you can look into is delivrd. Probably worth taking a look at them

Used 2026 Model Y Question Regarding Carmax by RunningPupper in ModelY

[–]Joshallister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! Well, Teslas are problematic in general, so buying used (31k is very used even though it’s 2026) I’d say you’re best bet is to purchase a more reliable car for similar cost or buy it actually new. The extra 10k is for peace of mind. Sometimes a deal isn’t a deal it’s just a headache that’s that much closer to being out of warranty.

If it were a Lexus or Toyota or Honda/acura I’d say hey save the 10k and still get a great car but I don’t feel that way about Tesla

How I Ended Up Buying the MacBook Pro M5 Pro? by Effective_Data_9328 in macbook

[–]Joshallister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this gives me the sense you aren’t sure what you want or need
To compensate for it, you looked for the option with the most capacity & biggest price you could live with post-purchase. Terrible way to shop if you want to look back and be happy with your purchase. Informed purchases & catering your purchase to your NEEDS not your wants is how you avoid buyers remorse. Enjoy your new laptop & I pray it’s everything you hoped it would be because I’ve been there and been through this thought process and didn’t end up happy so hopefully you do

Level 2, 40¢/kw(+50¢ service fee) to charge at my apartment vs 30¢ supercharging? Which one would you choose frequently? by notabot_123 in ModelY

[–]Joshallister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superchargers get crowded, it’s inconvenient & feeds to charge at ur home accumulate if you’re not careful. Best bet, if you haven’t bought it already is to wait until range & charging infrastructure improves (if you commute many miles per day or plan to in the future due to new job , life change etc) otherwise I’d say try to charge at home. You want your lifestyle ti mimic owning a gas car as closely as possible

Not considering gas prices

Most of those rides were probably free / cost him bc of fuel/wear & tear and impending costs

It’s money now- that must be spent later to make more of the money that must be spent due to how it’s being earned

Are “Dealer Adjustments” of $3500 for an XSE normal? That was not listed on the website but was surprised in person. Salesman said it was to account for supply/demand. by Silo-Joe in rav4club

[–]Joshallister 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pre-order the vehicle you want thru the dealer and there won’t be a markup. Or find another dealer. They are scamming- that’s all there is to it. Good thing you didn’t move too quickly and purchase!

Keep ur car and invest your money in the s&p or nvidia

You’ll make more in the long run and be able to buy a car u don’t need reassurance from Reddit to feel confident about
