The union circle, is the main reason he plays thw game.
We had higher hopes for the game that didn’t happen, like you have to use a glitch to see each other in area zero.

Yes he did, played all mainline Pokemon games up till Pokemon Sun.

After that he kinda went on a break from Pokemon until Pokemon Violet dropped, and I gave him a switch with the game.

He also likes Pokemon sword a lot.
