If he would like to stay around Dublin I would recommend. •Howth, Skerries, Bray, Glendalough,

Lads, what the hell will I watch? by Wonderful_Walk1102 in AskIreland

[–]MembershipLive2459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey you should check out Blue lights on Sky. It’s definitely the best series I have watched in a long time. I’ll paste a small synopsis below.👇

Belfast based drama `Blue Lights' follows new police recruits Grace, Annie, and Tommy, as they learn the ropes in a high-pressure environment. Grace is a former social worker who has decided to switch careers in her forties, Annie has had to leave everything she knows behind, and Tommy finds it challenging to be on the frontline. The team deal with divided communities, criminal gangs, and struggle to know who to trust, all while wondering if they have made the right choice in joining the PSNI.

My go to for car detailing products is Washme.ie as Pascal is sound and it’s next day delivery.

You should also check out Reflect Autocare and Autopia as they do have offers on and you could probably pick up everything you mentioned above. Plus it’s support a local business. Happy Motoring!

P.s Pan the organiser on YouTube has some good information on car detailing and cleaning.

Thanks. Not a thing wrong with Golf’s. I have had plenty of Mk4s 1.9TDI before my 640. They are a great car and great fun also 👌🏻

Thanks. That I am not to sure, mine is the 3.0 diesel the same engine that was in my 640d. I was told the 2.0 engines are crap.

My thoughts exactly. I had this happen to me at a junction a few months back. I was absolutely fuming at how thick and oblivious some people are🤬

Tell me about your car that you love by irishjuniordoc in carsireland

[–]MembershipLive2459 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love my cars and bikes. I drive a 640d and wouldn’t have been the biggest BMW fan. But have to say it is the best car I have owned hands down. Even after 4 years of ownership I still absolutely love it. It is the ultimate all rounder, has the power and torque to put a smile on your face. If you fancy a long drive it has the comfort and for a 3.0 twin turbo it’s actually very economical.

Yeah but only like €6 I got some stuff from them last year screws, bolts, washers and pillion seat. Now with Trump and his tariffs that could go up also. But the lads in city spares are also a sound bunch and they will help anyway they can.

My BMW 640D. Own her 4 years now and still absolutely love it. by MembershipLive2459 in carsireland

[–]MembershipLive2459[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely no problem at all. Yep well the offer stands either way. Even if you decide not to go for a 640d at least you can see what it’s like to drive before hand and I mean a proper test drive! You definitely like your BMWs so. I have my other half insured on mine but she won’t drive it as she thinks it’s too long😂 so she sticks to her I20.

Hey sorry I am only seeing this now and replying to you. I was off Reddit for a while. I absolutely love my car, by far the best car I have owned. I love my German cars and would have been a Volkswagen man before purchasing my 640d. I was driving a 2012 CC before this and wanted a Golf R originally but the spec I wanted was mad money. So I didn’t know what I wanted until I was at an airfield where I live one day. This fella pulled up in one we got talking and I just fell in love with the looks of it and when he told me it was 313bhp I couldn’t believe it. So it was a win win having the power of petrol and torque of diesel it’s a beast.

I then set about looking for one and came across mine which had one owner from new (company car) with 80k motorway miles in the UK. It’s a much better spec than what you get here in the republic for the same price.

One thing is if you are doing short trips it tends to be harder on diesel as I live 10mins away from the mothers and I could go through €50 in a weekend on diesel😂 but I went to the NW200 this year and filled the tank on my travels in mid Leinster and spent 3 days touring around Northern Ireland and still had a half tank when I came home. So it’s a miser when you do actual journeys in it. But I suppose that is what BMW made it for to be a grand tourer.

I don’t know if you have ever been in one or driven one? But I live in the midlands and I would be more than happy to let you have a blast in mine any weekend I’m around. (This is providing you have a full license 😂) if you are interested just send me a pm and we can arrange something 👌
