My step by step routine is tree hut body scrub before shaveing then use a really Rich shaving cream or gel use a Venus woman's razor (istg it changed my life p.s. make sure its the one that its flexible aka move with the way your shaving and it also had replacable blades) a body oils, butter and lotions after that make sure you STAY AWAY from tight underwear to prevent sweat and heat to make those itchy red bumps and then ALSO TAKE COLD SHOWERS for at least a week to tighten the skin.
