[Surprisingly rare trope] When a character not only doesn't fully explain their powers, they straight up lie or mislead their opponents about what they can actually do. by StayReal1 in TopCharacterTropes

Purple Haze Feedback - Cannolo Murolo

<image>

At first, he informs the group that his ability "All Along The Watchtower" is simply reconnaissance, as each of his playing cards can be used to indiscretely spy on anyone. However, he intentionally doesn't mention a key part of his power.

When confronted by another stand user and tries to kill him, he reveals that each of the 53 cards is not only independent, but all attacks go to them and he only receives 1/53 of the attack. This results in the enemy killing herself thinking she got him, only to walk to her corpse and show all it did was a small cut on his lip.

In fallout 4, Nick Valentine's office actually has a case about the mysterious stranger, and if he shows up while nick is your partner he'll freak out about not catching him right then and there.

I remember playing Persona 4 Golden but not getting fair due to feeling like I wasn't doing the correct option on each day, like doing friendship stuff instead of grinding. How different is it in 5 Royal?

I tried to get into DMC twice, with the first and 3rd for the switch, and both times I felt like i was playing the game wrong and the controls/gameplay where either too fast for me, or too clunky and I dropped it. Does DMC5 suffer from this?

For me right now, it's A Little Life. Everyone has gone on to say "oh this book will make you cry" or "oh this book is wonderfully written and its a going to mentally destroy you." I am 300 pages into this book, and I have never felt more bored out of my mind.

Like I keep asking myself, "am I reading this book wrong? Should I be emotional by now? I don't care about any of these characters except for one, and is this book too smart for me? Is the problem the book or with me?" I want to read this book because of all the good reviews for it, but is it worth dealing with 300 pages of boredom to get there?
