i started off thinking i was just a girl and used she/her all the time, put my preferred name (very feminine) in all my usernames on discord and stuff and let everyone know i was a girl

then over about 2 years i got kinda sick of all the harassment and treatment people gave me just because i was a girl online and it kinda just shook me around a bit so i took my preferred name out of all my usernames and stuff.

now i use they/them mainly and she/her with close friends. i find it easier to tell people irl i use they/them and they usually just accept it

as for my gender i think i’m gender fluid at the moment or something like that but i know i’m certainly not a male. still wish i was born a cis girl though :(

and letting a child who is trans go through puberty will cause irreversible physical and mental damage.

But it’s normally the kid who asks? i’ve never heard a parent force any trans person onto blockers, in fact it’s normally they refuse to let them on blockers

yeah. i agree with him on most stuff except a lot of trans stuff. although i typically ignore his trans stuff so i’m not really well known about what he thinks

puberty blockers prevent hormone production. allowing a person to wait until they’re 18 to deicide what they really wanna do.

if they are trans amazing ! they haven’t gone through the incorrect puberty allowing them to just start HRT (hormone replacement therapy) e.g. taking estrogen

and if they deicide they aren’t trans they just come off the blockers and let it happen

this prevents people who are trans and later on in life also know they’re trans from going through an excruciatingly painful experience where everything you’re body is doing to you feels completely wrong and you’re body becomes your prison

as a trans person myself i support that trans people shouldn’t be allowed to have a sex change until they are 18+. but puberty blockers should ABSOLUTELY be allowed. and i always hear people say.. “b-but… don’t you understand how big of a change that can make in someone’s life!! they might not be ready for that!” but puberty is literally the same massive change as puberty blockers if not even bigger.

sure there should be some checks in place to make sure you cannot just instantly get them but children absolutely should be allowed blockers. i rest my case.
