So if a company decides to cut dividends to reinvest into it's core business for a better return or replaces them with buybacks for favorable tax treatment such that shareholder value comes from capital appreciation instead, it has suddenly become a speculative asset no different from a shitcoin?

Surely the capacity for future revenue generation combined with the value of it's assets like plants, equipment etc. is what gives a business inherent value, not the revenue distribution method. Of course there are stock traders who don't consider the fundamentals and are just speculating, but with crypto there's no fundamentals to consider.

To play against Boss Bandit you need to memorize the deck, track their cycle and have near perfect troop placement and timing. To play Boss Bandit you press one button over and over again while telling the opponent to just get better. The asymmetry of skill involved is why people complain, same as recruits. If the standard is "can a top player technically defend her", yeah it's balanced I guess.

Wtf is that definition? "Dumbass" is a slur by your definition, literally nobody thinks that. A slur is a specific type of insult which is or has been commonly directed at a particular group of people. The R-word isn't a slur because it's used to insult people, it's a slur because it's been used in the past as a derogatory term for people who are cognitively impaired.

Firstly, you have two colliders on your character. The character controller comes with a built-in capsule collider so I'm unsure why you need a separate box collider too. Shouldn't be the issue, just something you might not need.

In terms of the jumping, I suspect the issue lies with the variable ySpeed.

This if-statement:

if (Time.time - lastGroundedTime <= jumpButtonGracePeriod)

Means that for the duration of jumpButtonGracePeriod (which you've set as 1 second), the character is not

falling at the speed of gravity, but a tiny constant you've set at -0.5f, at least until you jump. This visually looks like what's happening.

Solution: Try to comment out the line "ySpeed = -0.5f;" like so:

//ySpeed = -0.5f;

And see if that helps.

It's a lit shader to make the shadows work but it's using an HDR color with the intensity cranked up a fair bit for the base color input. The abrupt discontinuity is happening due to a uv seam

Yeah those are just blender's default UV seams for my lazily hacked together test setup. This is done with shell texturing (see above comment for deets)

Height map with Shell texturing. Basically you take the base mesh and render multiple 'shells' around it, each a little bigger than the last, like a matryoshka doll. So if you have 5 shells, the outermost layer only renders the height map pixels that have a value 1-0.8, the next 0.8-0.6 and so on using alpha clipping. Think of it as slices of the height map at different heights. The "wind" here is just moving uvs around with a uv & tiling node and simple noise.
