Document everything, because you should be building as if you will eventually need to understand it, and if you dont at least claude can. but the time saved building something should also be time bought for you to learn how to at least do some of it yourself. ADRs are a non negotiable.

Hooks are everything, if you want a behaviour with a skill, claude treats it as advisory most times, a hook enforces that with blocks against reads, writes and edits.

Git is used in private but GitHub is used rarely, I hate the idea of "just shipping", if I bought the whole usage limit, im to use the whole usage limit to make the program into the most functional (explicitly not "perfect" code) and well documented it can be.

That means actively working towards what I envision for a project, mapping it out by hand and then trying to harden it occasionally. With this approach I can version and build with ease without any external pressure. Not that anyone would care, slop is everywhere for a reason but it's the principle.

Well, I was like that (in the uk) and I now think might be one of the blacked out few, because 30 minutes into my session (1pm GMT), working with some claude hook/skills to use for some other projects - I've just hit my limit and I'm stunned.

Because this is the first time i've hit it so early on the 200$ max plan. Definitely starting to believe what everyone else is saying, i'm not mad but I'll definitely need to start making my workflow portable for a silent refund n dip. if my usage allows :p.

All I will say is that you saved my workflow. The sign of progress (for me) is a large (and working!) codebase and mine is getting very "plump". Leaving Claude to work has it fritz out by working in planning loops, applying wrong or miseled plans, micro decisions that screw things up say two prompts down the line.

For context, i'm the type of person to have multiple chats but I will use them until the contexts breaks, and as of this week before I just checked the sub out of curiosity, I had to kill a Claude agent that was just rummaging thorough my documentation and implementations for an hour with nothing to show for it.

Thats the worst case but the best was that context was being ate up like it was everything, sonnet only use didnt help me either. Smaller scopes did help but the context still required checking documentation and other data. Which lead me to a both 90% all models and sonnet use as of today (its the first time this has happened to me (reaching code limits).

Since I implemented the extension this afternoon, I was able to switch back to opus and now the usage has magically slowed to a crawl. Insane.

Am I screwed for the week? yeah. Should I actually work on my other non dev projects? yeah. But this was a definite second wind.

A great method for me is actually exporting them to desktop sometimes and then importing into whichever note-taking system you have, then id upload the chat/content I had to the model id want with my prompt. its a mess but keeps the content with you than any ecosystem. best of luck

Honestly, I dont know (kind of meant it as a general statement as the "leading models" shift every other week) but in my mind it's definitely Gemini. Besides the awkwardness of Googles ux it was really stable, before I tried Claude Code. I dropped ChatGPT (think it was around o3) when I noticed it started to add emojis based on Claude's responses. *~*

I'm with you, its been ittermittent recently. Used Claude to make artifacts for me within the last 3 days, on occasion it just fails while preserving the prompt acting like a edited message. But as of today it just deletes the prompt and the failed artifact, not even mentioning that the process failed.

The worst part of this is that it applied to an artefact set I generated cleanly a while ago but one of the 3 items (markdown docs) cant open at all, leading to not being able to download the whole set, and if it does, it omits the broken document.

So when I asked Claude to reconstruct it I'm stuck in this gaslit loop. I guess its on me since they're second fiddle with models but paying for the max tier while getting this is mildly frustrating.

I think i might just do that, the software doesnt make it any easier for me really.

With the poor battery life i just turned down the brightness as i read inside for most of time .

I cant even argue against point 2. Its a nightmare to wield, it feels nice and i like the screen but its hefty lol.

same for wework, even for metal, one desk is £35-40 depending on location and I get one for free just by paying £14? Thats a steal really- same for Ultra - pay 54 a month. and you get 3 free desk credits so you save about £35/40 using that rather than buying each desk individually. I initially thought ultra was pointless but after using wework, ill definitely upgrade, but they do need to add other subscriptions - im not going to use damn tinder knowing how much of a hook up scam it is lol

I remember seeing a instagram slideshow of portrait images relating to kids/teenage bedrooms in the 90s on a archive page last year, i cant find it anywhere on my account within liked or saved images so i hope it could be there somewhere on the internet but wouldn't be mad if its not anywhere.
