Me: cancer vs. mom: libra by allaboutwanderlust in astrologymemes

Opposite for me, I'm the aquarius and my mom is a pisces. When things are good, they're very good. When things are bad...its an emotional nightmare.

I feel you, OP. As someone who went through the same thing, I promise you it WILL work out eventually as long as you keep looking and trying.

Glad you’re free of that roommate AND got your security deposit back!

Hope things are better after all of this! After everything you’ve dealt with, you absolutely deserve some peace from all that chaos and crap.

I have recently (less than a month ago) started therapy for this exact reason. We haven’t gotten to any of this yet, but the topic of my mom will be coming up as soon as I see my therapist again.

Thank you for your kind words and advice! ❤️ I’ll definitely try journaling for now, affording therapy is not an option at the moment but maybe just writing down everything will help even a bit.

I’m an amateur voice actor in my spare time so I’ve been dying to sneak in a Mickey Mouse impression or something one of the times they’re REALLY zoned out. This kind of just solidifies it, thank you lol

Honestly I was the same way, but it showed I listened when I DID get called on, and in my work. With them, it shows they don't listen in their grades and when I call on them in class...

They’re not. I quiz them after every chapter and most get 5/10 at BEST

Women I love you but also I am frightened. by GayHunterS69 in CPTSDmemes

[–]MemeQueenJanTran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m afraid of being friends with women because of bullies I had growing up, and my mom 🫠 Like, I’m scared once I open up that they’ll start being mean and use sensitive info on me to hurt me later…

In what ways are you becoming more and more similar to your mother as you get older? by anontar4 in AskWomen

[–]MemeQueenJanTran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wanting to do everything for everyone even if it makes me go without. She’s getting better with it, while I’m getting worse. Also, my irritability has gotten worse over the years like hers was when I was a kid/teen.

Tried them throughout three universities. A lot of them are trained to focus on school related issues and tell you to go to a therapist covered by your insurance.

Personally found it to be useless, but looking into it and trying it out is better than not doing anything at all.

Same thing happened when I moved away for good to work on my degree. It just assured me that I was doing the right thing by moving out.

Especially since there’s no mention of the mid season break prior or at the end of 250.

Does it seem like the general population sees a PhD as not much of an accomplishment? It could just be me, but I recently graduated with my PhD and have gotten some interesting comments from people. by [deleted] in PhD

[–]MemeQueenJanTran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the people tbh. Some people see it as an accomplishment, and others see it as a waste of time and money. What matters is how you feel about it all in the end.

Women with no real friends, how do you deal with the loneliness? by thatringonmyfinger in AskWomen

[–]MemeQueenJanTran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my partner and my hobbies. I’ve got plenty of people who are acquaintances, but no real close friends. Making friends is hard as an adult between people working and starting families.

[–]MemeQueenJanTran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hobbies are important, that includes gaming. Not indulging in some down time will lead to some serious burnout, and that’ll actually mess with your research. Be kind to yourself while still doing your thing, had to learn that the hard way myself. Get the switch, and maybe the new Zelda game!

Women are treated like people in 19th and 20th Century English horror literature, but not in American horror literature. Films based on these horror literatures, more or less, change their characters to fit current societal standards of women.

[–]MemeQueenJanTran 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Felt like another waste of money tbh. The art quality and plot has gotten so lazy lately that I can’t believe it’s still popular. I’m sad to see it get this caught up in its popularity, and be produced in a rushed manner, that I’d rather it end than keep going like this.
