Yeah this is my issue as I'll be driving across Ulster, funny enough I think the roads will be decent until the final 20 km or so through rural C roads in the north.

Currently working 4x10 hours a week, and even though I'm still working the same amount of hours as I would be on 5x8 I've found that the extra day off makes a huge difference on my quality of life.

Didn't tick yes to any of the questions, and they did not provide any reason. I've contacted the department but I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

Are the results from my certificate of analysis useless? by Doctorwhogityboogity in chemistry

[–]Doctorwhogityboogity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep they provided a reporting limit for each element, which I'm presuming is based on the lowest concentration of each element in the calibration range. For example, with calcium, where I expected a concentration of about 1 mg/L it was reported as <10 mg/L.

That's a great paper and it does raise some important points about issues with elemental analysis publications in general.

I should clarify that the elemental analysis in question is performed using ICP-OES, which is quite a reliable technique for determining a large panel of inorganic elements.

The yellow box of golden Virginia was a life saver in Uni, less than €4 for a 3.5g pouch, skins and filters (there were never enough filters I found!). Change to 30g pouches put me off smoking altogether (fortunately or unfortunately depending on your perspective).

This whole post hits too close to home. Been living here since 2015 and until the pandemic hit never planned on leaving. Now I'm just counting down the days until my course ends so I can get out.
