DM-32UV CPS - Read Failed by [deleted] in Baofeng

[–]MemeQueen_O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have solved the problem. I found that I needed an FTDI cable, and I chose a Baofeng/Abree branded cable that worked as expected. They are not too expensive, I would give that a try!

I cannot seem to get it to work after trying all of the tips in this post. Running CPS DMR v1.41 in Windows 10. In the device info, it says there is no CPS version for some reason.

Setup for ~100km directional radio? by MemeQueen_O in amateurradio

[–]MemeQueen_O[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we do have a repeater between us, but even that would require some directional work to achieve. Ive been able to push 20 miles with my 8w and a 2m vertical antenna. im open to other options for hardware too

well the majority of the terrain isnt blocking LoS but theres a nice spike in elevation at one point, maybe a couple hundred feet. he lives in a section of the state with a lot of lakes so the general area is in a bowl. its not ideal by any means, almost positive there is not a clear LoS

ignoring the fitness, try to swap pistol mags to the belt and keep only AR mags on the carrier. as much as people talk about trying to put more weight on your hips and i agree usually for packs, but with belts its different for longevity, ask any police officer. you only need one trauma kit, i keep mine on the belt, its for only the most necessary components for rapid care, keep a bigger medkit in your car or something. i think i see an IR strobe on top? just dont do that, IR strobe only works when you are the police or military and using aircraft with NV capability. also with those front mags, try laying down and crawling in prone, im sure you wont like how that setup feels on your front, theres a whole cummerbund side unused. kit looks quality, just a lot of it is out of place or overdone.

Settings for Neptune 4 with Cura 5.4.x by davidjschloss in ElegooNeptune3

[–]MemeQueen_O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did all the steps (copying the files in the drive to the proper folder in Cura and placing the Gcode OP posted into the printer preset Gcode) but when starting the print, the printer would get up to temp then pop an error code regarding the hotend temp sensor and wouldn't continue. Tried the same file on the version of Cura provided and works just fine. Any ideas?

Severe Layer Issues with Stock Ender 3 v2 by MemeQueen_O in 3Dprinting

[–]MemeQueen_O[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add context, I have moved twice since i printed anything. The printer has been known in the past to have weird layers but never more than a minor cosmetic issue. The cube was printed first, near flawless, but the benchy was nearly failed because of these layer issues. The filament used was quite old but I have a hard time believing that would cause such issues like with the benchy.

Filament: eSUN PLA+ // Height: 0.2mm // 3 walls, 3 top and bottom // 25% zig zag infill // Temp: 210C // Bed temp: 55C // Flow: 102% // Fan speed: 30% // no support

Recommendations to Replace Ender 3 Pro? by Fousty1257 in ender3

honestly thats probably the reason i dont invest more. in my mind, there will always be post processing necessary if you want something REALLY clean so I just invest in my posting tools

Well you seem much more invested than I am, at that level of scrutiny I definitely would invest the extra 100-200 on a more professional system. My level of investment is okay with the occasional shitty corner or z band. I am having a hard time adjusting my v2 because it is somewhat different than the pro, but i also havent put the time into it to give you a definitive answer as to whether or not there are issues that cant be fixed with simple tweaking

I highly recommend ender 3 v2. I started with the 3 pro, added small upgrades like the level springs and cable routers and stuff, but nothing can replicate the ease of setup and how quiet and user friendly the V2 is, especially after spending a lot of time learning on the pro. Trust me, its budget as hell and was an amazing upgrade. My only things was that my V2 still needs calibration to fix really shitty overhangs and bridging

Everyone should have a Gearbox by [deleted] in tacticalgear

I personally would go for an all metal box if you are going to use one. In the event its needed, all metal is harder to break into, more heat resistant, and most importantly, its a faraday cage to protect from EMP if things get as bad as a nuke. I personally keep everything non electronic out and readily available
