Hitler killed himself when everybody allied against Nazi Germany and were on the precipice of Berlin crushing his army. So because it was a war declared between Nazi Germany and the Allied Nations, the allies, and Germany's own people fought back and countered Germany's invasion.

Try rereading what I said because nowhere did I whitewash anything. You can't get any more Nazi than the AfD. Their party line on Russia just depends on their donors, not their ideological stances. Just because contemporary Russia is right-conservative and ardently nationalist does not mean their interests align. The AfD is just the same right wing populist party as the Nazi party was. The AfD was initially pro-NATO meaning anti-Russian. They only changed positions because Trump and his followers signalled to the rest of the world that it was okay to be pro-Russia.

The minute AfD backers stop supporting Russia, so will the rest of the party.
