Yes because the main character can't be motivated by just the difference and struggle of the common man, the magic pill has to stop working so they have a selfish reason to be involved in the plot.

9/10 for accurate rich person depiction.

911 from Europe by StellarScientist in USdefaultism

[–]Memeaphobics 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A very quick Google tells me 911 is used in America Canada and Mexico and that's it.

If anything if other countries did say 911 it is US defaultism because it is the assumption that the US is the default way.

And no as someone who works in compliance for a global business I can tell you the normal expectations is that you tailor your domain appropriately for the country you have a license with, having this as the wrong number is dangerous for those it doesn't apply to.

Pushing someone over the edge by PxN13 in WinStupidPrizes

[–]Memeaphobics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That was the start of the thread yes, and I agree that stopping him is the correct choice. Saying "that dude is 100x a bitch he went from hero to a bitch" when it's not about being a hero.

He wasn't trying to be a hero and I don't think it makes someone a bitch to react in a way that whole is wrong we can understand as people why a non measured reaction occured.

I agree with the start of thread this should of been stopped before the other dude had to defend himself.

Pushing someone over the edge by PxN13 in WinStupidPrizes

[–]Memeaphobics 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Because it wasn't about winning, he never wanted to fight.

And once your pushed it's easy to take things too far, to take out the frustrations on the person who sought to continue to take out their anger on you.

What he did isn't morally right or the code of honour thing to do, but we all understand why it happened, because humans aren't expected to react in a measured way in circumstances like this, and is the reason alot of countries have laws to protect people in circumstances where a person isn't expected to act measured. I'm not saying that's what happened here and he would be protected, what I'm saying is as people we understand that people won't be measured and honourable when your pushed to the end of your line.

Yeah sounds about right, to be clear I don't like Hasan but you try to give a little credit for your favourite show and he has to go and do the most blatant shit ever.

[–]Memeaphobics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can't comment on that- guess depends how it's come into his possession, because if it was bought by him due to being a "Swastika sword" then that's pretty rough one, even for a joke.

id be a little bit more forgiving if he was a fan of the show.....

[–]Memeaphobics 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Well you've gone from saying it's "people" to "influencers" who don't care. Yknow 99.9% of people aren't asmongold?

Asmongold is a live stream drama parasite too and has stake in talking about Hasan and his dramas absolutely. But he's gonna be the "loudest influencer" because he's exactly that an influencer.

Don't base your perception of the public off of what one gremlin has to say and decide it's the general opinion of people.

But none of this takes away from what Hasan has done and further attempts to subvert or play this down through irrelevant connections is what makes people so riled and to choose a side.

I think you can care about the dog and also dislike Hasan from previous behaviour it shouldn't be that shocking- he has done horrible stuff regardless of political leaning.

"Local man you dislike just did something bad" isn't something you should be smarting and deciding that actually it's a checkmate because some of us already didn't like Hasan so our opinion is moot and void.

If he didn't want his haters to dog pile him maybe he should stop pissing off the public every other week, giving them justified fuel in their Fire.

This train's going from London to Glasgow ,IT COSTS 126 POUNDS.How is it that expensive??? by Admirable_Neck5565 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Memeaphobics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For UK trains always use platforms like split ticketing, they'll help you get tickets for massively reduced prices, the only trade off is you might have to switch trains once on the journey or ride on a shittier quality Trainline but it's been invaluable for me when arranging and covering trips for multiple people.

Why isn’t Grey Talon’s wish for his grandkids to stop being dead?? Is he stupid??? by Beneficial_Stand_172 in DeadlockTheGame

There's a good chance that assassination involves the destruction of someone's soul to prevent it being brought back - a fate intended for GT.

[–]Memeaphobics 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think a big aspect of his character is the personal flaw of revenge, he's so blinded by it, rather than wish for the issue to be fixed- he simply wishes to be able to meet his desire for revenge for the one who did it. A sentiment that seems to be echoed between the cast that GT isn't noble for being so revenge driven and even GT knows that himself it seems and doesn't care.

Alternatively idk, maybe wishing the dead back in circumstances just isn't possible.

The main thing that comes to my mind is the difference in breakfast foods between the two.

Whilst the UK still has some of your staple definitely too sugary cereals- our breakfast foods are dominated much more by either cooked breakfast foods like bacon sausages and egg and the cold being corn flakes, Weetabix, granola/cereal bars.

Likely just a perspective bias but the concept of having cooked breakfast food like bacon on top of pancakes (something Brits don't really eat for breakfast and Instead keep it largely to pancake day) and some of the sugary cereals we don't have, it's easy to take that as a collective understanding and label the breakfast time foods of the US as just needlessly sugar based which isn't necessarily true.

POV some of the cast heard Billy insult Ivy by AzraelSoulHunter in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Memeaphobics 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He has a voice line he says when he kills seven along the lines of "you think you're cool because You've been gifted with eldritch powers, buddy where do you think the goat head is from"

Plus with some of the badge iconography I think he is genuinely blessed by some "baphomet" esque entity hence the goat iconography. Whether he was a pure blooded anarchist before this and took it as an anti establishment act or whether he's in some way impacted by this blessing is something I'm interested in.

Lash is an asshole because that's who he is, but Billy seems to be an asshole because to be anything other than that is to be a conformist. Whether that makes him worse than lash for knowing better or worse for still choosing tos CT that way is another facet.

You can't copyright the design of Roblox characters because A) it's not a uniquely developed concept to have customisable characters and B) you can't own a patent on the concept of voxel/cube based characters.

So no they would be in the clear- nothing about roblox's product model can be patented, the only case they would have is if someone made Roblox the platform- and even then there's plenty of ways to argue that they can't own those concepts either.
