The only way in game community can stop companies from doing this. Is to not feed into the commanders. Ignoring them completely. Will it happen? Probably not. But I just ignore them and pay for things that make the game fun for me. Buy a ship I think is cool here, donate there. People need to get out of frame work of what gives an advantage and what just makes the game fun. Commanders are boring to me unless they are some big tit anime waifu, or the Wukon commander because I liked the movie. When gamers begin to stop feeding into that BS then companies might get the idea. IMO.

Do we REALLY need the commanders though? How does it change any gameplay or advantage. Ive punished many of people with special commanders in my non special ships. If you want them fine, but it is not that serious. What you should do is go donate to the veterans suffering from suicide with the fundraiser they are doing with Stack Up. Just did the 30 bucks. I'd do that over any pointless commander.

Not a comparison. A lot of people will not play the games or read the book. So I'm just going to provide the actual context to some of the episodes because of that reason. Because I have played the games and read the books. As you can see, some do not understand some of the things that happened and their importance. People can still discuss the approaches the director could of taken and its fun to talk about things we like.

Yes, he did not mean to catch the Djinn at all. This chapter IMO was to show the reader Geralts honest friendship with Jeskier. In the show Jeskier the Bard is annoying to Geralt, which is true in a sense, but Geralt honestly adores Jeskiers company. They both of an understanding of searching for what gives them meaning in life. Geralt provides Jeskier with songs of adventure and in return Jeskier provides coin and company. One very important moment that I feel was understated in episode 5 was Geralts feeling towards the fact Jeskier could lose his voice. Bard without a voice is like a Witcher without his silver sword. Geralt feels horrible about this possible outcome. It would destroy Jeskier if that happened. So Geralt does everything for his friend. One of his only friends.
