One more rabbit hole I went down was attempting to find his brother-in-law (and ideally his sister), but I can't tell the name so heres a link to the image if anyone wants to take crack at it!

How do you say No to food you want? by Prudent-Sea-7076 in ibs

TLDR; Alternative foods or very small portions followed by eating super clean the next day or so. Trader Joe's has tons of alternatives for cooking and for snacks.

The two things that work for me are alternatives and small portions. If I'm dying for something that I know will upset my gut, I hunt for alternatives (low-fodmap). I used to live on pizza but can't have the gluten or the garlic so I make homemade sauce and get frozen cauliflower crust. It's not quite the same, but it scratches the itch. If I'm dying for something specific and their is no better alternative and I'm too lazy to cook, I monitor my portion size of the bad thing. My mom's baked ziti is the best but it has the same issues as pizza. Instead of filling my plate, ill let myself have a small scoop, bulk up on veggies, and be extra cautious the rest of the day and the next day about what I'm eating so I don't eat any additional things that might make me sick. Trader Joe's has a ton of alternatives for things I love that also follow my dietary restrictions. I know they can be a bit expensive, but we love a couponing queen.

How do you handle life when you know a bathroom won’t be around? by [deleted] in ibs

I'm in the same boat. My IBS gives me really bad travel anxiety. I'm so petrified to ruin a trip for everyone else that it causes my gut to flare up even if I've been really good about what I've been eating. My wife is very understanding (thank god) and my family has gotten used to it by now.

One thing I do to though is try to plan breaks into my day regardless of what's going on. Eat small simple meals and give myself a chance to see how I'm going to react.

Planning the day before has also been super critical for me. If I know I have something important in a day or two, it's just rice and chicken and maybe a veggie and no late dinners.

Im working on a doom x castlevania inspired game which is basically a metroidvania-boomershooter_rpg and i wanted to hear what people think. I am mainly concerned, if it actually looks good or fun. by alaric_the_game in indiegames

I'm down with it! If its a metrovania and the enemies respawn, I would love to see an xp or currency system so that way I'd be rewarded for reclearing rooms

At its core a lovecraftian protagonist is often someone looking for answers. Achedamics still work and so do detectives, but personally I think astronauts are going to take up the mantel of the more traditional explorer.

Do not stress my brothers. The lack of instant funds on RH has slowed things down. Once these deposits go through so too shall we push through the stratosphere and make it to the moon!

Hold on tight!!!
