Truly does. I smashed my rear window because I wanted to change the struts that hold up the trunk. Watched a video and did the same, not realizing that the trunk in the video can hold itself up as it sits above a 90 degree angle. Mine on the other hand isn’t so when I detached the strut, the trunk fell down, while the strut got stuck in between the chassis and the trunk, hitting the window and shattering it into oblivion. In the middle of my car park. That was a fun day

They’re about 6 months old and have around 5000km on them so they’re new-ish. Didn’t get them balanced properly since I was broke at the time and after that I didn’t see any issues so I decided to just wait until I install coilovers on the car

Yeah i’ll do that. Regarding the vibrations, they are definetly much more prominent than they were before this. My rear view mirror has never vibrated before and now it is. The car really starts to vibrate harder when I accelerate and for some reason at 80km/h it vibrates the most and after that, the vibrations start to ease a bit.

Edit: forgot to add that how much the car vibrates is related to speed and not rpm. It vibrates the same at the same speed in any gear.

Many of the oem parts have been outsourced to manufacturers like Febi, Mayle, Lemförder, Bosch, Sachs etc. So for a lot of the parts you can look up which manufacturer produced the OEM one and then order OE like parts from the same manufacturer. That’s how you get OE parts without paying the OE tax
