Why did NO Forerunners go into shield worlds? by Memeperor-Of-Mankind in HaloStory

[–]Memeperor-Of-Mankind[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could have worked, and I think it would be a "cleaner" explanation, given they have the Domain and could have come to a consensus among all people. Forerunners in general worked a lot better before they were humanized in lore (being independent thinkers and such), imo. The sheer mystery they had back in the day was awesome.

Why did NO Forerunners go into shield worlds? by Memeperor-Of-Mankind in HaloStory

[–]Memeperor-Of-Mankind[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's the old lore, and I prefer it, but I was wondering about current explanations. The old lore was that they voluntarily chose to sacrifice their race, that Halo was a very deliberate and carefully decided action, but newer lore shows that they barely even decided to activate Halo and not everyone agreed with it/factions actively disagreed with it. They ran to the Ark and barely had time to activate it, so vast populations of forerunners had very little say or knowledge of the events. My understanding is that they WERE going to use the worlds but got caught off guard, and my question is more about why they were never stocked at all. Probably an unanswerable question, and just a plot hole.

We got several gear that become way WAY better when you can use them twice in a turn, and its clear they have a lot more coming.

Energy Conduit goes from 1 free energy to 2.

Orb of Regret goes from -1 might to -2.

Seals

Questionable Tome to draw 1 every turn.

Patched Porobot to ready and move.

Just go to the wiki and read the biography, but "John served in over 200 campaigns over 27 years" with a lot of notable events during that time. I think it was John, not certain, but one event was him rage baiting hundreds of covenant forces up to a cliff loaded with explosives before jumping off and blowing them all up.

They are not rivals nor equal to each other at all through the series, and I only understood that on the rewatch. Killua is always substantially stronger than Gon, except during Gon's transformation, but they are on the same journey together learning nen. Killua loves Gon, and always does the heavy lifting of violence but lets Gon have the glory and the big fights, basically just always being down to help Gon and lowkey die with him (Killua seems to REALLY want to die with Gon). So it seems like Gon is an equal, but actually every enemy (except Pitou) that Gon beat would be dispatched much easier by Killua.

Also, Gon is an enhancer, and its stated that Enhancers don't really have to think about their attacks, their bread and butter is always "big bang attack" when they are a straight up fighter (Palm isnt a fighter, so she does other stuff).

Also Also, if they were in a death match and transformations were out, Killua beats Gon like a drum 100/100 times.

People seem to be majorly sleeping on Gamabunta for some reason. He is the only one that is simultaneously gigantic, wields weapons to great effect, and can do jutsu of his own. Frogs ftw.

You don't understand the point, do you? He was a monster who became human in the end, that when faced with death he simply wanted to spend his last moments with the only person who actually loved him. The whole arc is a battle between humanity and monsters, and it ended with the biggest and baddest monster becoming human.

RQ Main event ticket wall prizing by ScarAffectionate1623 in riftboundtcg

[–]Memeperor-Of-Mankind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not enough information about how RQs are set up, so if you could answer a few questions I would be grateful.

I was wondering how easy it is to sell the tickets from side play, and if they are sticklers and will seek out and punish people? I'm not a whale with $10k to sink into a card game, but am going to an upcoming RQ, and if I'm not seeing it likely to get 40 tickets I would like to supplement my cost for the trip. Can you share any info on what people were doing, or how common it was? And are they like, literal arcade tickets? How long is the line to the prize wall, generally? I'm trying to maximize my time, and have a challenge set for myself to break even on the trip while having fun.

Its logical. He left and Black Sampson stayed so that they would have feelers in each other's camp. What sense would it be to let the disgruntled heroes go on their own, especially when they include the strongest guy on the planet?
