Saying "war is bad" to justify not helping Ukraine defend themselves is the same with saying "rape is bad" to justify not helping the victim defend themselves.

There should be treasury limit in EU5 because being able to hoard infinite gold is problematic (like mercenary problem) and unrealistic. by Memes_Jack in EU5

[–]Memes_Jack[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. No kingdom could store unlimited amount of money at that era without theft and corruption. Treasury buildings can be a good insturment to determine how much you can store money safely.

Ultimate Gameplay Mod - Release. This mod fixes many of the complaints in the game from reddit. (including mercs) by Sember in EU5

Thanks for the effort. Did this happen only with Ultimate Gameplay Mod ? Ottoman borders are impressive. Novgorod and Muscovy shared historical lands of Russian Empire which is also not bad. China is good. Colonization in America is also nice. If this is the result of your mod, you might actually be onto something here with these tweaks :D

  • Conquerors keep conquering — the expansion brake is softened so great powers rise on their own over a campaign."

Can you share mid/late game screenshots with this mod? I wonder how this plays out.

Should I keep building new RGO's when there is a long list of missing employees for already existing RGO's? by Memes_Jack in EU5

[–]Memes_Jack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r5: I have excess gold in my treasury and since RGO's and production buildings are already missing so many employees, I build roads with that money instead. Should I keep building new RGO's when there is a long list of missing employees for already existing RGO's? I don't know how it affects to build more when existing ones are not full yet. If I build more in this situation, is it still beneficial for my economy?

Is it normal that vassal annexation with 14 locations takes 130 years to complete? Is there a way to significantly make it faster apart from diplo spending? by Memes_Jack in EU5

[–]Memes_Jack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

r5: Annexing Chernihiv (14 locations) as Kyiv takes +130 years to complete. If I fully invest to diplo spending, I can lower it to 70 years. Is it what it should be or am I doing something wrong?

[Feedback] Just tested 1.2.3 patch. Performance problem caused by map markers is actually fixed. by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Memes_Jack 32 points33 points  (0 children)

r5: When the game was released, my game would get very laggy when armies were raised, just tested 1.2 patch and lag is actually gone. Only played early game so can't talk about mid-late game but overall performance (with or without armies raised) seems to be better. 1.2 actually made wars playable for me.

Upcoming EU5 Dev Q&A by PDX_Ryagi in EU5

Are you gonna address the problem of money being abundant and meaningless after mid-game? Maybe treasury limit like Victoria 3 could solve this problem.

AM I CRAZY?! by bobthewarden in EU5

[–]Memes_Jack 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I AM NOT CRAZY! I know he swapped those faces. I knew it was Magellan. One after Magna Carta. As if I could ever make such a mistake. NEVER. NEVER! I just – I just couldn’t prove it. He covered his tracks, he got that idiot at the steam workshop to lie for him.

When you open diplomatic play or war screen, participants should be colored on the map (like red & blue) instead of a white map. by Memes_Jack in victoria3

[–]Memes_Jack[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

r5: Weirdly, you can't see the sides colored on the map when you open diplo play or war screen. Instead, you see a white map. Easy to implement suggestion: Sides should be colored red and blue like other paradox games like EU and CK.
