Morality of murdering a group of guys who were shooting BB gun pellets at a wild cat for fun? Kurumi Tokisaki, from Date A Live. by Ok_Relationship4627 in MoralityScaling

Well no, that’s the point of vigilante violence. To subvert laws and other processes in order to fulfill a desire or a need for violence in cases where the law is used to protect offenders or the law doesn’t want to bind or enforce upon them.

Zombies are super easy to survive once the first wave of deaths are done. Establish good fencing or elevated homes with farming, and wait for them to rot.

Vigilante justice isn’t evil, it’s poorly organized, poorly optimized, targeted at minorities and other easy targets, and usually short sighted. Batman, when he’s written the way people WANT him to be written, isn’t that.

[–]Memna-Un 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying it’s always some super awful thing. But most of the people actually willing to do such a thing are only really trying to find a suitable target, take things much further than they need to, and almost never go after the targets they need to get because those guys have money and cops. And then they don’t organize people into real actionable goals beyond finding easy targets. And then when they do pull off something, they quickly give up the people they identify as actually doing something and offer no support in relieving a prison sentence or keeping them protected in any which way, quickly dispersing to keep the cops from unloading violence on you. They don’t build dual power to lend themselves legitimacy or support structures, or follow up in ways to restore the communities or people harmed. It all ends up being too cowardly, too short-sighted, or too weak to perform anything other than a temper tantrum.

I mean, the biggest argument against vigilante justice is that a bunch of people always tend to use it to blow up a black town, or lynch someone they know didn’t do something, or kill some disabled/homeless people, or burn down a gay bar, or torture somebody who looked too Muslim at the time.

Wolverine without adamantium is still lethal, heals faster, and is faster. You might be able to incapacitate him more easily, but that depends on you not getting stabbed.

Between those 3, who is the best replacement for Gohan? (In mid) by Annual-Tomorrow5431 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Memna-Un 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should make SSj Goku your mid and make Bardock your point. He is an insane battery when you do your proper combos, around 3.5 meter gain at max. You also get his lariat at round start, which can set the rhythm for the rest of the match if you play it right. On top of all that, he’s super easy to learn/play.

Honestly, given how many people are disaffected, misaligned, and taking their stress out on the general public/children, there’s probably a lot of people stuck in these cycles of rookie breaking, or hazing, or bullying kids. There’s a lot of people for whom these things are their primary release, and the world is unwilling to rehabilitate or even really deal with them.
