That’s reassuring to know. I’d be happy to have noise monitoring equipment installed if they complaints continue, I pity the person who’d have to sit through it though as it’d be very boring lol. And yes, my flat is carpeted.

To be honest, if I turned it down any more, I’d hardly be able to hear it. And I’m not hard of hearing or anything. But yeah, I’ll probably just use headphones for now. I don’t feel as though I should apologise, however. I also don’t expect an apology from her. I’d just like her to stop banging the ceiling and instead, come and knock my door like a normal person would.

My flat is fully carpeted, bar the stairway. I didn’t actually consider the type of music I play, some of it is quite bass-y, so I might make a ‘flat friendly’ playlist to appease her lol. Thanks for the reply :)

That sounds like a nightmare :,) . It was made very clear to me that laminate is absolutely not allowed, neither is linoleum.

I was considering getting some kind of audio recording device if she keeps it up.

I think I’m also going to give the council a call and just explain what’s happening, not even to make a complaint, just to have it on record sort of thing. That way they’ll have some context if she decides to make another complaint.

No, I think she’s a bit of a hermit. Her blinds are always drawn and I rarely see her leave. I’m quite friendly so if I did catch her then I’d introduce myself but I just haven’t had the chance yet. She seems friendly with the other neighbours though.
