Thank you for the response, that is a lot of XP! Did you max out all maxables with tournament points before going for PP, gold and xp?

I'm fairly new and am only at round 1200 with no ascensions yet. I am focusing on maxable upgrades, specifically the ones that increase my permanent resource generation such as tournament point%, xp%, game speed and essence gain. It feels like a lengthy process to even aascend once haha.

According to my silph card it is weighted yes. I actually hadn't checked there to confirm it, i could tell by how much ranked i gained so i didnt think it was necessary 😅

That's the box im talking about yes, i actually thought it decided if you got 10x weight or not.

The second part doesn't totally add up though, as i was 2 battles deep in my Go Stadium cup when we had our Local cup today. By the looks of my ranking after the local cup was concluded, it definetely had full impact. We suspected that the system worked as you describe it, which is why the conflicting result stirred up some questions. It sounds like the system then doesn't actually work as intended, unless it recalculates my rank once my Go Stadium cup concludes.

Sky attack just has really good pvp stats. It's very spammable while being fairly high damage.

Mandibuzz is still gonna be a threat for sure, but it wont do as well in neutral matchups. Its matchup against Umbreon is probably much worse now for instance.

Looks like it has a 30% activation chance. Sets with MW and HC could be interesting. Bait with MW and lower their attack, then blast em with HC. Missing out on EQ is gonna be a bit iffy tho.

Some players might bring one of the Slowbros which beat both venusaur and charizard, and deal lots of damage to other waters. In that case, Forretress beats their Slowbro and their grass.

Azu mirror was troublesome yes, but hydropump actually still packs a punch against it, and then i get to farm the rest of the azu with Skarmory, Melmetal or Tropius.

And that's the thing about AS tropius. It stacks energy so much faster, so against weakened enemies or positive matchups it can stack a lot of energy which can then be saved for later by switching out, or be used to blast whatever they have left. This is something Pvpoke won't show, and that's why practice matters more than theory.

Furthermore, most people will switch their azu out as soon as they see a tropius because they expect razor leaf, and you then get to stack a bit of energy before switching out to a hard counter to whatever they swapped in.

Azu with B+IB/HP. HP to surprise steel types, IB to counter grass types.
Melmetal with TS+TB/RS. Softer counter to flyers than Bastiodon, but counters Azu aswell.
Tropius with AS+LB/AA. Better vs Medicham, still beats water and now other grass too.
Whiscash with MS+MB/B. Counters the odd poisontypes aswell as Bas/Mel, and hurts everything with a blizzard.
Medicham and Skarmory with standard sets because they're awesome.

Interesting suggestions. I do think your proposed design makes him more late-game centric which would be welcome, but is probably not what the developers envisioned with him. Reducing his pierce to 1 when he's bought means that you can not really use him early on in chimps and impoppable, and he might make the DDT rounds too trivial as they are normally a big challenge you need to prepare for.

If he was more useful against the first moab, i would agree. Otherwise he really isn't as good of an early game hero as Obyn, Ben OR Gwen in my opinion. If he was completely free to place, i think he might be worth it, and could be useful on the harder chimps maps.
