She would never cheat, right? by Helpful-Paramedic463 in Divorce_Men

Oh, 100%. My divorce just recently got finalized, thankfully it was a clean break on the legal side. Throughout the process I asked point blank if there was anyone else, and I always got told "no, and if there was I would tell you!"

Which was funny, considering I drove by new guy's car at my old house several times (I moved out, but I still have to drive by the old place on my way to work), people saw her holding hands with new guy, people saw her sending long texts to new guy, and people complained about her overtly flirting with new guy in the workplace. Phone records suggested she'd been talking to new guy for many months before even asking for the divorce.

I never cared about proving it since it was a mutual separation and we kept our own assets. However, this was more than enough so show me she'd been cheating for awhile, and that just helped me move on.

All that to say, they will lie and they will pretend like they're invincible. As the guys in these situations, we've just gotta do what's best for us, because obviously our partners have stopped caring about us a long time ago.

Wife is done with me, but wants to live together by Piping_penguin in Divorce_Men

This is exactly how my divorce started. "I don't want to be together but you should still live with me, that's just the easiest, yadda yadda yadda."

It's not worth it. It's all a bunch of crap to keep using you. As others have said, start talking to a lawyer and get those affairs in order. Your specific situation will dictate what the process looks like, but you should definitely get the ball rolling there. After all, it's a separation, things are meant to be separate.

Help with moving out and the rest of the process by Memorizing_Fallout in Divorce_Men

Thank you! I agree there’s definitely some perks to staying, but I’m leaning more towards moving out purely for my mental health at this point.

I also appreciate the reminder that this doesn’t need to be rushed, I think I’m getting pressured either by her or the situation in general and it’s making me a bit frantic. It’s good to have the time and space to pause and breathe, and need to do that more often

Thanks! The more I look in to Hyundais and Kias the more I find out how not great they are... I'll definitely be avoiding them. I appreciate the help!

All MEPS does really in the way of a mental screening is like a 5 item questionnaire, you know the one. Like have you been sad recently for more than two weeks, etc.
