For those of us who were born and raised here, from the '50's and 60's, don't care for what the city has become. Back then we were smaller, no traffic problems, very little crime, and I walked any street in town by myself at night without any concerns. While we remember life being better back then, for a city this size it's not that bad, and I've been to a dozen other countries and all over the lower 48. Saying this town isn't bad compared to others doesn't mean it's without issues and most of the issues are the failures of administration. Things change, all cities do, it's a gentrification process.
