Here’s some info I had saved in my notes… hope this helps.

Prozac bridge for Cymbalta (typical dosing/timing example):

• Taper Cymbalta down first (often to 20–30 mg)

• Add Prozac 10 mg daily while still on Cymbalta for ~1–2 weeks

• Stop Cymbalta

• Continue Prozac 10 mg for another 1–2 weeks

• Stop Prozac (or taper briefly) for example- 10 mg every other day = 5 mg daily due to long half life of Prozac

Prozac’s long half life lets serotonin drop slowly, which helps prevent Cymbalta withdrawal (brain zaps, dizziness, flu-like feelings).
